brilliant song even 21 years after the first time I heard it...a bit melancholy now as it's so long ago...long ago and timeless..thankyou so much for uploading this..
This is a fantastic song, and very hard to come by,thanks nzoz1989,I have seen them live half a dozen times,I met Greedy Smith one night before a show,he gave me a mention during the show, great memories
This will always be associated with 'The Big Steal' for me, probably my favourite Australian film. Gordon Farkus is such a thoroughly entertaining character.
looked for this song for yrs, i loved this song, end of the 80s saw somw real classic songs which will last inside me forever, so many memories for anyone who has looked this song up, im feelin ya alll.
The frontman looks like the guy who plays judge Harvey Cooper in Boston Legal and Dr. Frederick Chilton in Silence of the Lambs... can't remember his name...
I've been searching for ages for this song. It was on "The Big Steal" soundtrack. I've been living away from Australia for 2+ years and this song is very nostalgic for me.
mental as anything had both greedy smith and martin plaza. Both great talents as with the whole band and a great sound of the 80's. I still have the 12 inch single!!
love that guitar solo ;-)

This song is sooo underated and was very overlooked. A real shame coz imo this band is one of the finest australia has produced.

Not only do I think it a brilliant song, but it's also the absolute story of my life. I could only answer one of the questions raised.

I've never heard this song before. In the UK we only got to hear Live It Up in 1987, a brilliant track :)

Remember when this came out in '89 - this was seen as a huge departure from the MAA sound, shame they didn't take it further - still sounds amazing

Also used in 'The Big Steal' with Ben Mendelsohn, Claudia Karvan and Steve Bisley.
A fine ballad. Thanks again nzoz1989. I've seen more of your videos than any other uploader on YouTube.

What an important part of the 'Mentals' and Greedy's repertoir. This shows how good they really were.
