I support marijuana legalization, but one misconception about marijuana smoking is that it DOES NOT cause lung cancer, when in reality it does cause lung cancer. Prolonged exposure to ANYTHING burning can cause lung cancer.

Yeah, it was kinda peer pressure for my first time, but now I know they wanted me to do it because they knew it was fun and that there wasn't anything bad about it. Getting drunk is worse man. People do not solely base decisions upon the views of others if they respect themselves. I Started smoking pot of my own volition, and against protest by friends who did already smoke. I had seen it for a number of years growing up with neighborhood kids, and it was of no interest to me until about 15 years old. Kids didn't ask me because they knew my perspective, and I didn't ask until I wanted to. And furthermore, peer pressure is not a function of age, but of will.

im not a pot smoker. i dont like to live my life stoned thinking. i do think medicinal uses for it in a controlled setting is fine, but then everyone else would be smoking their pot. the drug companies would not be able to sell their drugs since everyone would be helped by pot. it provides pain relief and a sense of well being, which is fine for the sick, but hard to control the drug addicts from using it.
