Yup, there is quite a pungent smell, but if you open your windows a little, it should be fine :) it doesnt linger or anything

Interesting - I was researching this - you're the first person to mention the smell (which I have heard about with some silicone curing processes)

Now I know - why there is a shelf life - all the smell will eventually leak out of the foil pack (but it will be good if used within the date)
