A-10's use six-barrel cannons that fire hundreds of rounds per second, so the smoke you see is the dust and debris (I forget the actual term for it, ejecta blanket i think) from dozens, if not hundreds of impacts.

A-10/FrogFoot Should do more damage, the AN-94 should be 2rd burst with 1 recoil at a high cycle rate 2200 i think, then down-cycle to about half that. The 2rd cycle is so that 2 bullets hit approx the same spot to penetrate armor. DICE didnt do research i guess. 40mms should travel 15 yards(or feet?) before becoming "live".

@Puistofyysikko For one thing the burst wasnt sustained and those are small shells. If enough hit a tank they crack the armor, detonate the ammo, and kill the crew. The tank itself is actual usually intact on the outside if the ammo or fuel didnt blow
