i bought mine in 2006 an it is still working but the hard drive just broke,i don't if i should i buy an ssd for $400 or just get a new macbook and sell this one before it breaks completely
Is it a first generation model ? You can check to see in the Appe>About This Mac> More Info> Hardware Overview tab. If it's listed as a 1.1 it is indeed a 1st gen model.
If so, it will only take up to 2GB of memory.Specifically: DDR2 SDRAM, PC2-5300, 667 MHz, 200 pin. Good luck with it !
Of course I still have it. Looks and runs flawlessly after over 5 years of crazy uptimes. Now running with Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and also dual booting it with PC-BSD 9 as well !
