the intake is at the top of the hood. that and when you go through a 2 foot puddle like this guy, you dont need to worry about it anyways haha

i have taken mine through water that was up almost past the fender flairs. no problems

There's a little tube coming off the intake box under the hood that you can move around a little bit. It can put upright so that you can go thru water almost over the hood and not get any water sucked in.

hey dude the only way that any engine can suck water up is trough the intake manifold if you have an snorkel that's even better u can go deeper . but just keep on mind no all the engines can go into the water cus if you have a turbo motor that's a different story ,and some cars ones the spark plugs get wet they wont start till you dry em up . but that wont happen to a jeep O|||||O
