she's so beautiful.remember her in ally mcbeal days -she was GORGEOUS .ah what's the story with this commercial can someone tell ? I mean some people are hating lol
She might be a good actress, but you just know she didn't mean that last line. I hate the media for what it did to her. She so deserves the happy life she now has.
No Portia dear you are worth it and all that your life is full of now is because you were worth it ...Team#UnbearableLightness<3 and you were not a size 8
it really makes me want to cry watching this. and it's weird hearing her say "and i'm worth it" when i know she really didny believe that. but yes, Portia.. You ARE worth it :)
I'm reading Portia's book at the moment and I just finished reading about the commerical (literally 30 seconds ago). I find her so amazing. She looks so beautiful in this commercial, it's hard to believe what was really going on.
@BalletDancer312 Yeah, I really enjoyed her book, but if you want a REALLY good book about anorexia, read Crystal Renn's HUNGRY...It's a little bit better written.
It's so strange watching her saying, "And I'm worth it," after reading the scene where she walks around saying, "Because I'm not worth it" and all the drama she went through leading up. Very surreal. I can't believe how heartbreaking her book was. I expected it to be good, but it was simply incredible. There's not an adjective strong enough or impressive enough to fully capture Unbearable Lightness.
L'Oreal used to be my go to shampoo, then i read portias book the way she way reated was awful and i found out they test on animals soo goodbye l'oreal!
@MirandaAugust64 I was thinking the same thing, literally just read her book and remembered her saying about how unhappy she was. She is a brilliant actress if she was really feeling like the complete opposite inside but still managed to convey being happy.
i remember watching this commercial and her other l'oreal commercial on tv.. and would've never thought she was a lesbian nor that the stupid people from l'oreal gave her a hard time because of her size... i mean.. she is slim.. what the hell is wrong with them....
@rome8899 I've gotten half way thru her book. So moving and heartbreaking. "Nobody told me she's a size 8" what an asshole indeed. She's such an amazing woman and it just breaks my heart to know how hard she was on herself.

After reading her book, knowing how deep into the disease she was at this stage, this commercial just makes me feel disgusted of L'oreal.

I understand L'Oreal test on animals so I'm surprised she agreed to do this ad as she's a vegan!

I agree with @MsPeabody1 that Portia is certainly worth it! And not "because I'm not worth it" as PdR wrote on her book...

I watched Oprah yesterday. These assholes at LOREAL treated her terribly about *not being a size 4*..... You just lost my business!
