i remember getting aftershaves nearly every christmas and never used them

because i like to keep scent free but most people ended up having cubbards

filled to the brim with unused aftershaves or dozens of them ended up on ebay

or on bric a brac shelves in charitie shops or in bric a brac market stalls on thursdays

selling for a small price of £1.50 or sometimes £2-3.50 .

i woul find that advert creepy at the time because

of the creepy overtones in the advert bu i can strum

the last verse on my guitar an speak in that rusty voice.

The unmistakable voice (in 1978?) of Canadian voice-over artist Bill Mitchell who used to always wear black declaring that it was one less decision to make when he got up in the morning. Ha also had a hat and sunglasses and when one woman asked why he covered his eyes he replied "Because your beauty is so blinding"

Fans used to write and ask for photos and wishing not to be recognized he would send them photos of tramps on benches.
