  • Could someone explain how Kleibrink's third touche was his attack? To me it looked like he extended his arm only after zhu hit him in the middle of his preparation. Did Zhu challenge that point?

  • @Zionpohl kleibrink had already begun his attack. the fact that zhu hit him a little earlier was irrelevant

  • you should make a vid of all the best fencing yells

  • am i the only one who thinks olympic-level fencers use their arms to much rather than their hands/fingers to control the blade?

  • @luvinwafflez yes

  • @samistartsoul its kind of sad how foil has transformed from a sport of control to a point-weapon version of sabre...

  • @luvinwafflez well first of all there is a lot of control in sabre too, and this is a much more toned down version of what foil used to be... it used to be exactly like sabre with a the point, with a bout almost never going into the second period at all, just like sabre. the change in timing has made it like this, slow and controlling, but to say it is now like sabre when it used to be controlling is backwards

  • lawl at kleibrinks 4th touch, he just advances while hiding his blade preparing to flick, then when they get close, he just pokes him

  • god damn but Zhu is fast.

  • Methinks Kleibrink doth protest too much....

  • @howzitman they both protest a call, kleibrinks instance was less clear cut. tough call even with the slow motion

  • @Tehosennake Ah I see, thanks for clarifying that. I was wondering why Kleibrink was so... errhm, y'know.
