I used to think the idea that Gangsta rap corrodes our youth was just as bogus as blaming video games for school violence, but now I'm convinced that gangsta rap is detrimental to our youth. I can even look back in High School when I thought selling drugs was so cool & rap strongly reinforced that. The violence in their music had viable explanations which basically taught that you gotta fight in self defense. Slanging drugs in their music was ALWAYS situational and came with a heavy heart. And most of the outcomes weren't favorable, so they revealed the consequences of such action. The truth in music is our best teacher.

Violence in movies, television, and music does affect people. The violence in their music had viable explanations which basically taught that you gotta fight in self defense. Slanging drugs in their music was ALWAYS situational and came with a heavy heart. And most of the outcomes weren't favorable, so they revealed the consequences of such action. The truth in music is our best teacher.

it means different things in different cultures, for example in the mid eastern cultures generally it means "i'm going to get you!" a form of threat either as a joke or a serious one, but in his case i think it's unintentional and if it was intentional it will be to specify he is precise and accurate about what he's saying, though i agree he over did it lol, but he's a simple yet brave man to admit his mistakes.
