  • I'm going to play this song at my wedding. It's a fantastic song. The one reason I will always love LIVE. When it comes to love songs and ballads, they are the masters. Very few, if any can compete with them.

  • This songs harder to find than my penis.

  • Still love this song..

my boyfriend send it to me <3

  • i love this song but i can never really find it anywhere! it sucks!

  • Ihope these guys get back together to,,,Best group in the whole world,,,,I saw them 5 times,,,,what a show!!!!!!!!

  • well, i hope these guys get back together.

  • wow this is a terrible Live song

  • Thank you! -- Put this man's face on a can of stew!

  • I really hope they get back to rocking ways, too much of this slow paced love song thing now!

  • @MegaMagicPie I agree. They were at their best when they were angry.

  • Pure Gospel Music!

  • Did u guys know that Ed is currently in the Studio putting out a solo Album & the rest of the band, Chad, Chad & Patrick have teamed up w/ Kevin Martin of Candlebox & have a new band called The Gracious Few. Now, that's gotta b good! U can follow all of them now on Twitter!

  • Yeah, I just heard about this. The band decided to split for a 2 year period. I think this will be a good thing for Live.

  • Great song!!!

  • I absolutley disagree.. i think this song is pretty good. Most older bands put out really terrible singles, but this could relaunch this band. I have a background in A&R and such, and I feel this might not be a typical live song, but the band evolves like people do.

  • Regardless if the song has a christian referance or not, the song itself is really bad.

It sounds like an outtake from Black Mountain, which was by far the bands worst release. This song, along with all the others on Black Mountain, sound like songs I've already heard before from bands that lack creative uniqueness.

Which is exactly why I used to Love Live, before they as a group, not just Ed, became to watered-down. This song doesn't hold a candle to "The Dolphins Cry", a sheer classic.

  • A M E N !

I think EXACTLY the same. Although I bought every album they've put out, I must say that I now have lost hope of a second coming...

The intensity and the rawness of their sound is gone. Why are the other members so lazy? Why aren't they writing stuff? Is it the comfortable life, the family life, or simply the fact they are getting older?

I think I'd prefer seeing them disband than to come up with such cheesy songs. It's as if they became a parody of themselves.

  • If you think "Dolphins Cry" is a sheer classic, then I don't know how much stock to put in your opinion, It's a solid song, but pales in comparison to what this band was putting on "Throwing Copper" and "Secret Samadi."

  • There's only 500 characters in a youtube comment box

and I picked the first song that I could think of prior to Songs from Black Mountain, although I could have picked any other songs that would have sufficed, "Mirror Song", "White, Discussion", "Freaks", all are much better than that one album alone, which this songs sounds like it would have made the cut had it been written 2 years prior.

So don't put all your stock into one example, that'd be a narrow-minded thing to do.

  • I'm just sorry that "Dolpins Cry" is the first song that came to your head. For me it'll always be "Lakini's Juice." Ah well, at least you're not a tool.

  • So was this song studio-released then? WIki is saying it was only released on this Live...live album. But this song is NOT live. So it must be a studio version included in a live tour cd. Correct?

  • Live is not a Christian band. Spiritual sure but not Christian. Live leans more towards Buddhism than Christianity.

And as an rational atheist i love their music. Love does not require god, a belief in a god/prophet or even faith in something supernatural.

And if they were Christians, would they not go to hell for singing "motherfucker" in Stage? ;-)

  • 89.7 is Dallas' Christian Rock Station. on the bottom right of the home page is a link to the letter that Ed wrote to "Friends of Christian Radio". Looks like he's a born again Christian. Kinda like Brian "Head" Welch - you know, the guy that basically was/made Korn. He too is now writing/singing Christian rock music.

I just hope LIVE comes out with a few harder songs. Just because it's Christian doesn't mean it has to be slow.

  • exactly. in fact, there are some metal bands which are christian. i myself am not christian, but still a big fan of their music. and the same counts for live.

  • oh yeah, by the way - to all you out there arguing whether or not this is Christian music - it TOTALLY IS!! you can go to 897powerfm . com and find the answer to this question there.

  • good song

  • I love this song! I heard it on the radio ages ago and kept looking for it, but could never find it! And then today I did! It's fucking fantastic! My favourite song =) I love the lines: "As we face this furnace Something tells me That we can run from these flames Or we can stand together in faith Forever and ever The dark of the night The bright of the dawn Forever and ever Ill stay here with you til the end of the storm"
  • Finally fucken found the song lol

  • i think that hes probably an extremely religious man i cant see how you wold think that

  • I've followed the guy's writing. The man's got no religion. You can figure, in some strange way, he left religion a long time ago. It kinda happens when you look at these stuff without a "fanboy-to-religion" eye. You know how it is.

  • With age, these men keep getting better and better.

  • Fantastic! I love this band!!!

  • very very very good song!

  • beautiful song

  • I really do like this Song!

  • Isn't it sad when people assume we must cleave to some sort of religion in order to write a song about being good to one another.

  • I'm pretty sure Ed is Buddhist not Christian

  • Gosh some of these comments are anal! what does it matter whether or not this song was intended in a christian way or not? It doesn change the lyrics or the music in any way. If you like the song why should you care. A good song can relate to anyone whether they r religous or not. Get over it!

  • Exactly very true ::)

  • I LOVE this song i like the chorus

  • sorry one more thing.. one song referencing od does not mean your christian rock ..

  • selling themystery has it all right, it about loyalty and devotion

  • i dont think this is christian rock, who the hell said that? faith meaning faith in eachother and the relationship not in relation to any religious denomination..use your head !!

  • you are right

  • Didn't say they were always Christian rock i've see live 22 times in 3 countries going back to 1989 He's just changed his lyrics to Operation Spirit in the new video. you know jesus means a hell of a lot more to me today. ONLY ONE SONG with reference to god. Go get mental jewelry, aHH wait go get every album has a spiritual refrence to God or a creator. The lyrics have always been spirtual since the start. So your stupid.

  • just because of that song doesnt mean theyre christian rock!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!1ITS ONE SONG!!!!!!! its not like all of theyre songs are like that!!!!!!!!!!

  • they are not a ''christian rock'' band

  • I've got the video, when I get my dvd drive back in ill post it for ya...

  • i remember when they didn't play Christan rock. OH well I'll always have mental jewelry.

  • He is far from a Christian my friend.

  • Ed believes in God, but I wouldn't say that Live is Christian rock, far from it actually. Some of their stuff is "spiritual" in terms of lyrics and inspiration but thats Live, they are, after all, alternative rock.

  • OH, so you know him personally cock shiner?

  • How about you knob jockey? do you know him? what do you know? apparently not much judging by your comment... People like yourself should keep your comments to yourself. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. I doubt this video was posted so people could try and insult one another, though if your up for a sledging match, bring it on, I rather enjoy them. By the way, how would you know whether or not I do know him? I might be good friends with Ed, how about you?

  • I'm sure you don't dickhead.

I verbally attacked you because you made an assumption about a celebrity, or did I have you pegged wrong as a jesus freak?

  • Maybe you shouldn't make assumptions yourself. And just so you know, my "assumption" is actually based on fact. Trying to bring religion into our little skirmish ain't gonna get you too far either bucko. Maybe, instead of trying to prove something to yourself, you should be more like the other people who posted on this video and debate things in a more logical manner, as opposed to trying to bring someone down to your level of idiocy with petty insults that are bandied about a schoolyard.

  • ha ha ha

  • Awesome! Keep it coming guys! I'v been waiting for sometihng new to listen to for too long now! When's the next CD coming out with all new songs?

  • it's scheduled for release in summer 2009... But first they need to record it :p

  • +Live+ Forever 2008 Looking for desert rain In the corners of my mind Feeling so far away From the source of love devine Two travellers on the road Just a book of secerts and trouble on every side Keep holding my hand tonight As we face this furnace something tells me That we can run from these flames Or we can stand together in faith
  • Forever and ever The dark of the night the bright of the dawn Forever and ever I stay here with you till the end of the storm Till the end of the storm Babe look where we come from Look what we been through Remember the times we would spend Didn't know what to do The enemies at the door And here we are again deja vu Now we can run from from this place Or we can stand together in faith
  • Forever and ever The dark of the night the bright of the dawn Forever and ever I stay here with you till the end of the storm Troubled times they will come With vengeance in spite of their eyes Love will begun Forever and ever The dark of the night the bright of the dawn Forever and ever I stay here with you till the end of the storm Forever and ever yeah Forever and ever
  • Finally new material from a timeless band of the 90's - flashbacks of my Sr. trip from high school, nice to see them portray their talent and show that they have a timeless quality...

  • great song reminds me off the tought time ive haade in life

  • First time i've heard this new song from Live...its Awesome!!! :)

  • How do I get the song from the CD on my computer I can't kopie and past it =.=

  • I really like this song!!

    Excellent!!!

  • I loved this song the first time I heard it -rare for me to do that! :)

  • I really love this song. I think it is one of the best Ed has written since the turn of the Century. I read Ed said it's about "loyalty and devotion." This song could almost be a track on The Distance to Here. Now mix it in with a few harder Foot Stomping songs w/ Guitar riffs from Chad T and +LIVE+ would have a New Album!

  • I agree. But that's been the problem lately, Ed writes everything alone and it sounds much more pop than rock.

I much prefer their darker, heavier sound. They were always playing with intensity which was their signature.

I'm really sorry to say it, but I don't like this song. It sounds like anything, not Live.

  • you're right, this song sounds more pop than good alternative rock, and now for only one song, many people believe it's a Christian group

  • Love the song wish I could find it on iTunes... Classic Band from mid 90's

  • It's in the itunes store I bought it - look for it under their latest album name and you should find it.

  • Regresso em grande...

Queremos encher o Pav.Atlântico ou um festival de verão qualquer em 2009!

Já merecemos acabar com esta espera...

  • I love live.. there is always a line or two in each song that just slaps you in the face.

  • very true my friend, very true.

  • Live is awesome. Ed Kowalczyk is a beautiful beautiful man... That is all

  • I like Live most of it in the earlier years.But...Ed's voice is at the moment awesome! And if they would make a full album with heavier songs and a few songs like these, it will be a very good album, like you said MarkKureama. Man, Kowalczyk, thank you so much for making so much good songs with so many different ways of music and lyrics. Thanks a lot!

  • pretty good song, I wish Live would make a CD with a few heavier rock tracks like 'like I do' from Birds of Pray, 'I alone' from Throwing Copper, these type of songs. A full album of these songs would be surely the best album ever.

  • Amazing(L) Love LIVE

  • bom dimaissss =]

  • they will always be awesome, no matter what style of music they do!! keep creating the music from the heart you guys :)

  • You are the best guy's!

    Love you Sahar!

  • amazing!

  • It's not bad I think. Still love the old style though. Thanks for this.

  • Cool song! I love your music but wish there were more new songs! Like an album full! Can't wait to see you at Summerfest (hopefully)!

  • There's gonna be one more new song. The CD edition of this cd will have 2 new tracks: 'Forever' and 'Purifier'

  • Noooooooooo, more of the same soft, pop rock. I really wish they'd make another Secret Samadhi. That was when they peaked.

  • DAMN! That's better than 75% of their last CD. Awesome.

  • I'm loving this song. Can't wait to get my hands on the new CD/DVD.
