@d0initsimple well first of all this was filmed in Denver (if I recall well). Plus there are a few differences between this show and broadway. If I understood well, pre-broadway was kind of a try, to see if people would like the show or if they should cancel it.

@d0initsimple The real difference in a pre-broadway run and a broadway run is that the Pre is like a try out to see what works and what doesn't. How the audience reacts to certain jokes or songs. To tweak the show so that it's the best it can be before it gets to New York. In this show in perticular they changed the lyrics of 1 or 2 songs, added another boy to play flounder and reworked the transformation sequence.

maybe things they need to change, just an overall Trial ... like a tryout ... if that makes sense

then they after that amount of time they will end the trial, and then the director the composer and

costume designer, lyricist (creative team) look it over for about a month or two and make any

changes they think might be necessary to the show. then will hopefully open on broadway succesfully!!
