I have an idea... below the bridge is ground right? Well I think you dig under the ground and fill it with 8 blocks of water on each side. Then you make it travel somewhere and t make it go uphill with a piston elevator. Then those creepers and you digging on purpose go to you instead of going on the ground and picking them back up!

You actually don't need the repeaters next to the pistons as long as the redstone is running level with the pistons. If you put the redstone a block below the top of the piston, it will not work.

@theleorem99 Redstone flashing is not too hard, just look up some redstone clocks. The simplest one is a pressure plate, sticky piston, and a boat.
