@apriliafan no, all post 2011 bmws are turbocharged. the 28(as in 128i) is a twin turbo 4 cylinder, the 35(as in 335i) is a twin turbo 6 cylinder. the 50(as in 550i or 750i) is a twintrubo V8. the only car not turboed is the m3. the m5 is a tuned version of the 50 engine.

BMW change position with Mercedes-Benz in weight. 7th series heavier than S-class. 6th series heavier than E-class coupe. 5th series heavier than E-class or CLS. only BMW 3 series is lighter than C-class.

Its like no model of theirs has its own identity anymore, its all the same except for the 1 series which i was never a fan of anyway. @SHKnights81dr Must have been cold outside that day when they started it cuz u can hear the engine stop making that noise after a couple of seconds, thats definitely not the exhaust note of a 650i. Plus when he revs the engine the exhaust note is pretty weak for a 407hp V8. Then again unless its an M, BMW's never had a good sound to them.

@MrMnote BMW leaves it up to the customer if they want a race sounding exhaust with the option to add it to almost any car, even a 328 so its not really about what BMW wants. Its the fact that their cars are known for having the least aggressive sounding/ weakest exhaust note out of the big 3 german car manufacturers. If u dont know that, u dont know much about BMW's, nor german cars in general. Im around Audi's, BMW's and Benz's all day so im pretty sure i know what they usually sound like.

@MrMnote Let me rephrase what i said cause it didnt come out exactly the way i intended it to. Thats not the USUAL exhaust note of a 650i. Meaning, the only time you'll hear that note from a 650 is when it's cold outside, you have the performance exhaust option, and you are starting the car up for the first time in several hours. And even with all of that, you'll only hear that note for about 20 seconds til the engine settles. Simply put, if you see a new 650i driving, it wont sound like that.

The only way i could see the 650 sounding like that is if it was really cold out that day and it has the performance exhaust option. 335 sounds like a regular car, nothing more. Even if you add the performance exhaust it still doesnt sound as good as a G37, let alone an actual performance car.
