I was only a small child when this show was on, but I remember it very well. I was raised, and still live in a town just next to townsend tennessee, called maryville, and I know a few people who were cast as extras on this show. I really wish they would bring the reruns back to television, as I would love to watch it now! Thanks for posting these videos, reminds me of being a little boy and watching it with my parents!
Beautiful. Thank you for all your wonderful Christy videos! I watched the show as a sixteen year old girl in 1994, and I love it even more now. (I too was on team David back then, and I am most definitely team Neil now, lol!) Funny how 15 years changes things. =)
my family is from del rio aka el plano and the book is fiction althoe many parts are true...in reality christy didnt live inside of lemon gap aka cutter gap she lived in a boarding house in del rio aka el plano.they werent far apart as shown in the series, the o'teal cabin and ruby mea's cabin are still there fairlights cabin was occupied by her grandson but burned down, the school/church is still there, and davids bell is still there too
Yeah, me too! I never liked MacNeill that much. But then again, I was only 13 when I first read "Christy," so my taste in men had not really matured (naturally!). 15 years later, I can now appreciate men like MacNeill much better. I still prefer David, though! To this day, I think his character in the book/TV series is why I love tall, dark-haired men. ; )
I love Christy :) What a great video this is going straight into my favorites. If you can could you post some Neil/Christy clips? They are so cute together and it's funny to watch them argue.
I love Christy, too, obviously. And I'm glad you liked the video. I'd love to post clips as well, but unfortunately my DVD ripper doesn't rip sound, so it would be kind of pointless. Hopefully, someone else will be able to help you. Sorry I couldn't.
I don't think a video intending to show Christy's life in Cutter Gap would be complete without David; he's such a big part of it. I'm glad you liked the video.

Who does she marry in the end?

She marries Dr. MacNeill in the book. The TV series ended with the cliffhanger ending, which drove everyone crazy! ; )

What are the books called? I only have the books based on the Tv series.

It is just one novel called "Christy" by Catherine Marshall. It was written in the 1960's. Excellent book - highly recommended.

What a beautiful song! Oh, I loved "Christy" so much...brings back so many wonderful memories of being a teenager in '94 - '95.
Thanks for this!
