This is the music I put when im programming complex stuff, so relaxing thanks for the upload best character theme ever so beatiful and so much emotion in this song. Truly describes rena as the simple person she is, SO2 is to be one of the best RPG's ever dont have a kick ass protagonist just have a guy who does what need to be done(im looking at you cloud) >.>

I mean think about it: by the time you were ABLE to create items you didn't have to anymore, 'cuz you were mighty and powerful already... all those skill points - they were like a nice little extra but not really necessary

@indendunklenschatten nah, you just didn't play it right. the ability to make weapons was definitely a big help if you knew what you were doing. i'm not trying to bitch about it, just saying it was a useful part of the game. it could have been better, but for the time you can't complain.

@theblackmanOyeah Yes, it depends on when you start. I found it useful because I started to make stuff as soon as I could. Making stuff with those rare materials you can get from those worm enemies in the desert west of the mountain (the one where you get the metox and attempt to exorcise Ashton's dragons). And using Reverse Side to make big bucks once you can buy paper from Linga. Making items is not absolutely necessary to win the game, but I can't think of any RPG where it is.

@theblackmanOyeah Not that big of a help. I just bought whatever I needed. The creating of weapons was too random, you didn't know what to do, you just had to guess and find out by trial and error. And all those symbols of all the ores and jewels... no explanation given at any time, which did make it rather difficult.

This is pure awesome. it is indeed not the same version of the Star Ocean 2 OST...

To me this is sweet, yet alien and also lonely. If you learn Rena's background you'll know :) Cute how they mixed the music box version too ^^

The anime was good except they only reach half the story of the game so they rushed in a lame ending.

Pay attention to other Sakuraba's works, and the live concert of this!

Sakuraba needs more recognition. Fukusawa, Sakuraba, Fukuda, and Mitsuda all seem to get overlooked in favor of Uematsu.

I couldn't agree more. Even though Nobuo Uematsu has made some excellent music, Sakuraba is by far my favorite video game music composer...and out of all of his works, his soundtracks for Star Ocean 2 and Valkyrie Profile are tied for my favorites. Either way, beautiful stuff.

I've always seen Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Xenogears mentioned right alongside FF music by those who don't hold Sakuraba stuff in anywhere near the same regard. In fact, Mitsuda gets so much love from both those of considerable listening experience and from those who haven't ventured much beyond Square RPG music, that he often avoids criticism where even Uematsu does not. Many of the guys who post at VGM fansites worship him. Me, not so much.
