  • I went to Academy street school in 1980,I had a teacher there who made me face the wall and ordered the other kids to laugh at me for "goofing off", turns out that my "goofing off" was Tourrettes syndrome.

I am so sorry, that sounds terrible. Although it is always good to hear from people that went to that school, I started 1st grade in 1994 so I was one year out of going to Academy, and I always wondered what it would be like.

  • I was born (well, washington township.. same thing) and raised here when I was young. Moved to shitty Atlantic City when I 6 years old.

Sucks, this town still looks good.

  • i live in Glassboro im a kid

  • Oh damn I recognized State St right away! I lived there in 1999 till probably 2002 in the green house next to the yellow house. House number 38 haha This video brings back good memories in Glassboro :)

  • I went to elementary school at Academy Street School. Originally from Glassboro, we still own property there and I swing through there a lot. Great video.

Cool, I was one year out of going to Academy St., I started first grade in 1994 and they closed the school in 1993. Always good to hear from other Glassboro residents.

  • @VICNASTY1989 I don't live in Glassboro anymore, haven't since 1990, but yeah, I'm from there. And you are YOUNG! I was at that school in the early 1980s..lol.

  • @BDavis820

So if you were in elementary school in the early '80s you would have graduated in the early '90s right? My brother Matt Schultz was in the Glassboro school system at that time, he graduated from GHS in 1994. Your not that old!

  • @VICNASTY1989 I moved to Washington Twp. and graduated in 1997.

  • @BDavis820

So you were in TWP before the schools got split up (Bunker Hill, etc.) Do you remember a John Rohas from high school? He graduated in '00.

  • @VICNASTY1989 I can't say I do but like I said, I graduated in '97 and yes, the h.s. was still split when I was there. My brother might know him, he graduated in 99.

  • Looks like a nice, homey town. I've been to NJ one time....Newark.

  • @auaiao9

Thanks, its is a nice town to live-work-and go to school in. I remember you saying that you had been to Jersey before- trust me Glassboro is much nicer than Newark! Not as many oil refineries- LOL!
