I think the biggest giveaway comes from watching the drummer. There are no mics anywhere near his kit other than the vocal mic, and at 2:51 he's clearly wailing away on the crash cymbal with nothing to show for it.
sounds far to much like the recorded version you can easily tell . matts vocals are live for definate , not sure about chris's? cause the 'supermassive black hole' sounds live ? the solo sounds like the live alt version . but for me its play back . well some is anyway lol , i bet they didnt enjoy it lol

Matt's vocals and the guitar are live for sure, but it sounds like it was recorded under much more chilled out circumstances. Chris vocals sounds very much like the studio version though so i believe the audio is from a very early performance, maybe back in 2006/07
@gigalomaniac It's playback dude, from the studio version, just Matt's vocals and the solo are live.. I know because I'm italian, they often use playback for Tv Programs in Italy, and I don't know why.. It's so annoying!

I totally agree....but I think the vocals are prerecorded to....doesn't the lead singer say the "supermassive black hole" part? I'm not sure but in the music video that's how they have it....not the bass player....but I do love this band...and I cannot stop listening to this song for sone reason

If I was one of them, I would have at least apologized to the people there who actually wanted to see muse PERFORM. This is a little disappointing.

yeah it is with Matt playing an actual solo.
i dont know if you have noticed but Dom's 'kit' is lacking in a 20 or so drum mics and a few black things that are on the floor tom.
and the mix of guitar and bass sounds are the same on the album
