These legal ports catch many illegals every day, indicating that the Mexican officials just a few yards away have done nothing to stop them on their way into the USA. Local Mexico community police along the border may demand a payment, but cannot arrest them because they are headed for the USA. After all, they are still legal while in Mexico.

I was working at a factory, where this one white guy came to work in. He got an "easy" job compared to what me and other people were doing. and guess what!
