I am looking for an indie third person shooter from around 2007. It was a boy and girl running around on a weird planet and it had a weird game name - maybe beginning with "Z"? The main male character had a huge weapon like a pole or something, not a sword. It was sci-fi - can anyone help?
area5media, I really appreciate these video's. It helps me to see how games develope and mostly too the backstory. I myself cant come to these conferences due to country and travel. But its interesting. I just found out about you, and following with great love. I wonder whether you will hear more about the new DS zelda. Yea im a zeldafan for years, but im not sure in how far you guys like it anyways. Maybe you can talk to the designers at GDC of zelda about their innovative idea on DSi. Thanks.
I think you should use the song that you played at the end as your intro song. It''s much better than the one that's there right now and captures the feel of the show better. It's probably not gonna happen since Jane Pickard did it for free and is a friend of the show, but the ending song is way better.
Great episode guys was really fun to see some of the stuff at the show. I find though that the videos your uploading playback very jerky on the video, while audio plays fine (trust me its not hardware related my pc specs are more than enough). Unsure if its how you guys are saving the final video you submit or its its due to YouTube but just makes the video somewhat unpleasant to watch.
Yea I get the same thing on mine I thought it was just me though. I heard that there is something wonky with the YouTube codec from a guy who does rock band vids and the vid lags in HQ.
Took a look on their webpage, they link to a HD version which in the title says 30fps. So I am guessing they only release the best quality one on that linked webpage. If that is the case then would be nice if they could just upload the 30fps version here as I dont care to be jumping all over the net just to watch this stuff. If its to do with Youtube well I am not surprised.
Every year its hard not to think there won't be anything frighteningly brilliant in videogames for a while.. and then GDC rolls around and showcases indie developers visions-set-in-motion..
And we should kick ourselves for having such blasphemous thoughts.
I can definitely maintain that TAG is an awesome game; I played through it a few months ago (the Most Popular chart on download . com is a great resource) and it played great, even on my crappy laptop. Had a cool Portal feel to it.
Great video, If you need any help getting your videos or channel exposed, i use a service called thetubeviews . net it has helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first page

Man i really find these games lame, who cares about this craP? I so moved from SNES games, even if you payed me to play games i saw in this episode i would not do it. Lame.
@Globox822 Get over yourself. Graphics aren't what make a game good. A lot of the games from back then are a lot better than a lot of the games now A.K.A. Generic Shooter 5000.
Are you kidding me? These are the designers of the future... And i'm glad that indiegames are gettin so much attention. It's good for the industry. GO MOUNTAINDEW!

I loved seeing some proper footage and discussion on indie games for once, none of the big sites really do it justice.
shame I can't stand the introsong or the way too long ads

I like the look of the unfinished swan game. Its totally different but it reminded me of the anti-color levels people have made in LitleBigPlanet.

Or perhaps you could look behind how a game looks and enjoy how it plays? I don't know, just a little idea for you there.
