My cat swallowed most of the string (after I stowed it according to instructions on the box.) Luckily, I noticed what was happening and intervened. I later called the manufacturer with a suggestion to improve safety, but was told to wrap the string around the door knob - no cat could unwrap it. (My cat can.) Next, she tried to assign me the blame , then questioned my IQ and insisted there was no need to change the design, repeatedly stating you cant please all customers. Shes right!
Excellent point. The manufacturer recommends (on the box it comes in) supervising play with the Fling-ama-String. When play time is done, simply stop the unit while the string is "hidden" on the back side of the belt. We've had great results following their recommendation. :)

My Marley would tear it to bits and swallow the string. Once he got ahold of it. But supervised, this would be a good toy.
