i live in the UK but i will be flying into USA to support Ron Paul in Washington on July 12th 2008.

80% of Americans want the war in Iraq to end. The U.S. government couldn't even get enough recruits so they gave twice as many wavers to convicted felons. The felonies include burglary, aggravated assult, possession of drugs other than marijuana, and even terrorist and bomb threats. Please note the comment that Ron Paul's and Obama's anti-war stances are different. Ron Paul stands behind the moral Just War Theory (almost every tenet violated with the Iraq invasion) as well as standing on the law as put for by the constitution when declaring war on a sovereign nation. He is against causing wanton death and destruction. Obama's stance is quite different-he is quite willing to go into Pakistan with our military-Pakistan has nuclear weapons-this is insane.

A breakaway group who call themselves the "Granny Warriors" are allegedly planning a suicide march to the White House on April 15, 2008.
While specifics of the march are unknown, some believe that the Ron Paul Blimp may be involved in this march. The blimp could be filled with hydrogen, radon gas, and radioactive waste.

When we stop caring about the lower and middle class, only to cater and provide tax breaks for the highest 2%, and then continue to send money overseas to Africa and Iraq, we forget who we actually are. Gas prices rose to an all time high under the current administration, yet living wages have not kept up with inflation. A family of four with 2 people working full time at minimum wage are still not above poverty level in this country. Just sickening. We need a change. McCain ain't it.

Obama is favored because of his campaign contributions from the lobbyists not because of his anti war rhetoric. Please, on general elections make sure you have a paper ballot, get your congress person to make election day a holiday, and ask for an open count. Rabbi seems to think that the measure of success is how much population you lose while winning the war (an "over the top lads, machine guns won't work on European troops mentality). Using nucs on Japan was the right call given the casualty estimates on both sides for Olympic and Coronet. Japanese historians agree (see The American Experience ep on Okinawa). Hiroshima and Nagasaki remained populated areas after the war-get your facts straight. I agree, we'd be better off without wars, but that's not, unfortunately, human nature. When the war starts, the objective is to compel the enemy to do your will. As noted above, I've got multiple tours...no romantic notions at all.

Six years (rounding up a month) and we come in just over a 1/3 of the way through. Chronologically you're off. Using casualty losses as a measure of postive military effectiveness is very...WWI of you. And the enemy losing lots of their people is bad because? It was the USN, not the RN that put-paid the IJN, and you know it.

Since 81% of US is voting on machines without paper trail and 100% of votes are counted in secret we have no evidence that he is really winning.
