  • Eli knows what he's talking about, he's not a stupid man. And the horror movie fans want to see this kind of stuff, we are always looking for new ways to be terrified, and films like Hostel terrify us because not everyone believes in ghosts and supernaturals, but we all know psychopaths exist. Everyone of us could snap, and that's what Eli gets at through his Hostel movies. Amen to Roth for being the future of horror, would like so see many films from his devious mind.

  • Everyone has a sick part in their mind it's human nature and a HORROR writer/director's job is to reach that and absolutely terrify the viewers. You know how people love halloween attractions? Its real fear without real threat and that's exactly what Eli does and a damn good job at it. He's not alone in stating that world issues give a holding ground for horror movies George A Romero says the same thing and that's what he did with Night of the Living Dead,

  • You said that he justify the movie with the real horror of the world. Okey, i think he didnt do that, he just mentioned it, in a bad taste way.

  • You said that the guy is a depraved. So you must have some physical proof or evidence that he is a depraved. Because you said that you didnt say, literally, that he is a depraved because he made this movie but somehow you are say that. So what makes you thing that he is a depraved. Having artistic horror imagination makes you a depraved?

  • He has a messed up mind, but, he is so hot!!! Lol

  • @LiberalAtheistChick im alot better looking believe me

  • I could handle Hostel but not Hostel 2

  • i met him. hes the coolest guy

  • even he admit we have chimpanzee running the country running the america.

  • I love how these guys logical fallacies and using them try to use some news event, dilemma, or injustice to divert attention off of and try to justify their sick depraved minds and that they get off on making sick depraved movies and they enjoy doing it.

  • @all4Hisgloryalone

Horror movies should be sick & depraved! That's horror! When I sit down to watch a horror movie, keyword here being HORROR, that's what I wanna see! He's not sick or depraved, he just knows what us horror fans want to see! He's an awesome director and he's the complete opposite of depraved, he's actually quite squeamish! Today Is Fucking Halloween! I don't know about you, but we are all gonna have fun and watch some damn good horror movies today! Go preach somewhere else!

  • @StrawberryAphrodite1 Im not preaching I have an opinion just like U, so are U preaching? No 1 is. I like horror, suspense,&supernature films I would hopeU would know what my comment is saying & not broadbrush all "horror" as the same Theres a difference in horror films. Im not even talking about gore(though some of best are not most graphic, original 1978 Halloween) I was commenting on type of film the Hostel movies are. I apologize 4 broad ad homiem I was referring 2 his mind with Hostile.

  • @all4Hisgloryalone

It's my video, I can preach all I want lol! I agree some of the best horror movies aren't really gory, but some great ones are! I love all kinds of horror. To me the Hostel films are just a big, fun, fountain of blood! The revenge is so sweet especially the castration scene in 2! That Was Epic! I think Hostel has a great story! It's a cool concept! Pretty original compared to what everyone else was doing at the time! Some hate it, some love it! I think both films are great!

  • @all4Hisgloryalone What logical fallacies is he using?

  • @TheMischaReviews Definition U give is correct& Does not logically follow is too-- same thing." In times of social unrest violent media becomes more popular" wasnt his premise. Nice try! Red herring in that he distracted from question&went into views of political leadership rather than discussing same type of torture in reality as in his film.1 can assume anything, but 2 state it as fact&equally state as fact that people are not desensitized by violence in films is only assumption stated as fact

  • Comment removed

  • @all4Hisgloryalone I respectfully disagree, sir. Yes, Hostel is very violent, but the sociological context IS there, it's not fabricating as justification, in my opinion.

  • @all4Hisgloryalone

A depraved guy is someone who makes depravity things. The guy directs an horror movie, Thats not a depravity thing, isnt it?. Believing that a guy who direct an horror movie is a depraved, is a logical fallacie.

  • @vanclav You wrote "Believing that a guy who direct an horror movie is a depraved, is a logical fallacie." No it is not. Name the fallacy. I will help you. If I made the argument that BECAUSE a man directs a horror movie, he is depraved, then that would be a logical fallacy called a non-sequiter( conclusion does not logically follow from premises). I made no such argument

  • @all4Hisgloryalone These "News Events" Are REAL Horrors that happen in life, they desensitize our young and turn our generations into killers. Don't come up into a video about a Director and try to bash his logic if you don't expect his fans to step up and call you an idiot.

  • @TheFlyingAtheist I like horror films. I think the original "Wrong Turn" with Eliza Dushku was a much better film, writing. acting, and all and you actually cared about the victims. This was at best a B- quality torture film, thats all.

  • I prefer the American Remake of The Ring to the American Remake of The Grudge! I thought the beginning of The Grudge 2 (American Remake) was more entertaining than The Grudge 1 (American Remake). The Ring was a very entertaining and CREEPY AS HECK remake! The original Japanese Ringu was a piece of horror heaven! I love The Ring! That tape freaks me out EVERY TIME! The tree on top of the hill and the white chair....ooooh....so scary!

  • Eli FUCKING Roth ...... The FUCKING Man !! The FUCKING Legend !!

  • I don't know about the original becasue i never watched it but the american remake for ''The Grudge'' was aweful. Easily the worst movie i ever saw, it was so boring and the plot is shit and nothing about it was good!

  • @the2009guy the Japanese version of both The Grudge (Ju On) and The Ring (Ringu) are beautiful films as is Audition, the Japanese definitely know how to make horror films and Eli is one of the only (besides two other writers/directors Im a fan of) people who has ever been able to embody what those Japanese films were able to and really f*ck with the audience and give them that scare that stays with you.

  • @M0nsterMakerMellie ''Gives them the scare that stays with you'' gee, that sounds fun. Seriously, i really find that hard to beleave, I heard ju-on's exactly like The Grudge. as for Ringu, i saw the first scene and i never thought to myself ''They should make it ilegal to use such crappy effect in horror films'' when she dies for watching the tape

  • The things I would do to that man.....there aren't even names for it

  • fackin jew ~

  • @limauze fuck you, your an asshole

  • He's a very smart man, and the hostel movies are soooo underrated IMO, they shit all over the saw franchise.

  • I wish every girl was Eli Roth. I'd be gay but I'd be happy.

  • i would DEFINITELY love to make a "Horror movie night" and invite him and Q.T and Hideo tanaka!!! those guys are FUCKING sick but still fucking awesome!!! THA' BIG BOSSES!

  • I've decided to start watching Roth's horror movies since he's worked with Tarantino.

I have to say I'm really impressed with Eli. This guy is a boss.

  • @incaoutburst Yup, he is very out spoken, He's a horror director with a voice, I'm actually addicted to all of his commentary's on all his films,

  • a jewish horror movie director.i need him in my closet.

  • Eli, Hostel is one of the most terrifying movies ever made, because of the premise you created and the fact you based it on something that really happened. What is so frightening, is the thought of those Slovakian sluts luring people to horrific deaths, with no feeling for those people. Then the main character stranded in a strange country trying to escape this organisation of sick evil bastards. It has caused me nightmares ever since, but I still love the movie.

  • Phelous.. you are so right...

  • This guy is a breath of fresh air in terms of American horror. Cabin Fever was brilliant and the two Hostels really were disturbing. Love Eli Roth.

  • "or at least in America", well I could see how 'some' Europeans may have been upset. But, respect to Eli.

  • the eli for respecting asian movie

  • I wanna suck eli roth's cock.

  • i'd seriously love to watch horror movies with quentin and eli

  • @Spammythetroll hell yes! that would be an amazing night

  • I definitley would want to do a low budget film. I hate being restrained from my ideas. I think in the end, the ratings board would bother me the most if I were a director making a totally grotesque horror film. If the director of the Jackass movies can have Steve-o being showered in shit and Pontias wagging his dick at the camera, which is filmed via Paramount, amongst other films with full nudity, gore, whatever, then a small, low budget slasher should have no problem with sensorship.

  • lmao @ a chimp running the country! (george bush)

  • I didn't think Drop Dead Fred was bad at all.

  • He's definitely one of my favorite filmmakers. Waiting for him to make THANKSGIVING into a feature.
