The scheduled car was the #6 Zerex Ford for the race. But wasn't it at the last second Martin climed in to the #6 Valvoline Ford until his Zerex Ford had the repairs made? That's my question.
you know if they only showed the introduction like this like they use to, then i wouldn't have a problem figuring out who's who and driving what...at least here you can see driver, car, speed, and brand! I remember even when the older ESPN telecasts they actually showed back grounds say like an old ford to the new ford tbird, an ol chevy to a new monte carlo..etc. ESPN was great then but now it's mediocre, and do miss John Kernan, Benny Parson, Ned Jarrett, and Bob Jenkins.
Kyle opted to step down from the ride in August to devote his attention to the Busch Series, where he finished the season in the #45 Sprint Pontiac in son Adam's memory. Grissom was the driver for Petty Enterprises' Craftsman Truck team at the time, and so Kyle chose him to finish the year in the Hot Wheels car.
Yeah, this was Little's last race in the #97 John Deere Ford. Jack Roush opted to put Kurt Busch in the car beginning with the fall Dover race in September, but kept the more experienced Little under contract to drive at Talladega.
Chad ran the full Busch season in '01 and made one final Cup start at Dover in 2002 (for BACE Motorsports) before retiring.
I was at this race. I sure miss the good ol days of the Winston Cup. Nascar has went Hollywood these days and is controlled by big business (kinda like our government).
2:05 Did Dan Pardus drive the #50 part-time that year?
2:09 Did Rich Bickle share the #60 with Todd Bodine?
HarvestmanMan 2 years ago
@HarvestmanMan Pardus was in the 50 the year before. Geoff Bodine drove the 60 in 2000, this race was after he was fired. Todd never drove it.

Where was Jenkins for this? What I would do to see BP and Jenkins commentating the races again. RIP BP

Medicore? That's more credit than they deserve. If I have to hear another explanation on broken valves I just might kill someone.

This was my favorite music ever used for the starting lineup.

Bob Jenkins retired from professional announcing; last I heard, he was a broadcasting professor at a small religious college in Indiana.

Bob Jenkins does Teach Broadcasting at Indiana Wesleyan. but he also Works for Speed and the IMS Radio Network.
