he went a lot harder than shaun, but that doesn't make it better. watching shaun you should be able to see a difference in the level of control he uses with the moves, and how changes in speed reflect and amplify the music. it's difficult for a youtube video to capture that kind of thing, it's something you really do have to see in person.

subtlerhythm , has a very good point its not always about going hard..its how you emphasize the movement how you feel the music how you ride the beat, execution...besides shaun's style has never been hard its always SMOOOOOTTTHHHH..btw i think he is a genius and a dance god!!

The guy in the gray sweat pants was a competitor on SYTYCD Canada (his name is Vincent) and he generally rocks it (and he's pretty much a human metronome... kinda freaky, actually). I don't know if he's better than Shaun (that's a matter of taste... they're so different and I think I favour Shaun), but choreographers clearly don't always make the best dancers. Watch Marty Kudelka to see what I mean. His choreo is out of this world but I'd rather he not dance it.

b5mickey93, i'm sorry to tell you that you have no idea what you're talking about. the guy in the grey sweat pants did good, but not better than shaun evaristo in any way. i think that when shaun does it, it looks cleaner (and he created the piece after all..). but i'm not saying that shaun is a better dancer or anything...it's just that..they both have their own style, and when you learn a choreography, you're kinda supposed to add your own flavor, which the gray-panted-guy probably did.

what makes shaun so dope is that he has internal energy, alot of the focus isnt on the choreo but the dynamics whereas dancers like vincent bring that energy more forward and give it to the audience at more face value. These are shauns words, not mines, when we were talking about the difference in styles between him and keone madrid. shaun also said that no style is better, its all down to interpretation. i like shauns more... just an fyi lol
