you definatly are a beginner.... ive got a 250 stroker and one tip ill give ya: stop putting your leggs out for no reason one day your foot will hit a rock or a bump and you will hurt yourself pretty bad, it can even throw you off the bike
i was wondering i have a ttr 230 and was wanting to move up to this bike for ripping around trails because i thought its cheaper i have no engine experience for a 250f but i will obviously learn for this im 6,3 150 is this bike to small? i want it to rip too thanks
When you get into turns lean into it and get your foot out closer to the front forks and if your goin to do burnouts don't touch the front brake. Pull in the clutch and lean forward and pop it out Don't Use The Front break! I used to on my 85 before I moved up to a 125 and 250 and I tore my chain and spocket right off I never don't it again .
hey iu just got a rm 125 and i found it funner and alot quicker around the turns to pull in the clutch and rev up the engine and let the clutch out fast plus you should realy get motocross boots your body will thank you or atleast your legs. also you should get a aftermarket pipe and silencer and some flimsyer reeds
don't milk on the gas keep it straight. Up with your elbows then the corner is gonna be much more easy. Stand up. And in the corners you wanna almost sit on the gas tank. and u need to have your legs much higher than you have them ! :D
practice your cornering try to keep the rpms up and stay in the powerband your gonna spill a few times but its all part of learning good luck man ride hard or go home
@anthonyskibbles actually you might be good on a kx250f. Four stroke so you can run the engine lower than a two stroke. With a 125, you have to stay on the throttle constantly
was this ur first time ever on a motorcycle because imma be a be a beginer to motorcycles 2. im 6ft 210lbs and i just wanted to know if this bike would be good for me
@MrFourKicks preload? preloading is a video game thing, racers and riders not preload. when you see someone on the track doing that you know they're a beginner. so you're comment should have read "don't 'preload' its not anything riders do."
squeeze the bike and on the turns stick out your foot lean hard on the front end and give it alot of gas the back end will slip around the corner and you won't lose as much speed but dont give it to much either or you will slide out and you should probable go to a REAL track not the woods. hope it helps
one thing about 125 2 stroks they have a huge top end so it bogges for a bit the goes crazy that is a dangerus thing if u dont respect it it with trough u around or of the bike and hit the jumps in the top end to get more air
dont sit on the seat of much only go to sit on it in tight turns that u want have much control when standing. keep ure legs a little bent and try to keep ure butt of the seat this can give u more control over the bike. makes it easy to whip it around in tight turns.
why are people all saying 'you look too tall fo rit get a 250'... you know, seeing as both of my 125s are 37.2 seat height, and my 09 250f 37.6... .4 isn't a very big difference;P 125s and 250s are essentially the same size, seat height wise that is. if you want a 'bigger' bike get a ktm for the extra inch or whatever they normally are, atleast on teh 250f (damn you, ktm!)
i know, i'm only 5'2 so have to look into shit before i get my bikes to see if i can get a link for them and whatnot ;P
it isnt almost learn able its just you have to experience if you fall down thats the moment you''l learn the motto : how faster i go the less chance il fall (believe me:D)
TIPS: you need to stand up over the bumps otherwise you will get arm pumt quicker/easier. also wear gear. no burnouts tyres can be exspensive and you will ruin them easily. get a bigger bike you look a bit tall for the 125! dont sit to close to the tank because its harder for uphill clibs and will hurt your bollocks!!
do not go rite up 2 the tank that is a bad idear if u d u will get a lot less tracsion for hilclimbs and more and the bike will tank slap. its in the name for god sake very bad idear when u start off ye up by the tank because u dont wana flip but when u are riding go bank 2 the midale for tacsion and control
Tip of what? Your riding around in the woods like a goon. Go to the track get seat time wear proper GEAR stop diging holes in the ground getting sand all up in the chain and seals and breaks like a spode
Tip of what? Your riding around in the woods like a goon. Go to the track get seat time wear proper GEAR stop diging holes in the ground getting sand all up in the chain and seals and breaks like a spode.
no burnouts bro its 2 stroke ull rebuild that top end b4 u even get it down lol n its bad for ur tires but jus practice and jump sum jumps at the lip of the jump crack the gas so u dont go front wheel first always keep ur front up if u go nose first while ur in the air go full throttle it will even u out remember that its called the panic rev n its usually not a good thing to here but it works lol
if you want to get really good go to areal track every chance you get when you do find someone a little bit faster than you and try and keep up but first buy a jersey motocross pants chest protector boots and knee pads. and after you are faster than the kid you are trying to keep up with find someone new that is just a little bit faster than you again and never sit down except in tight corners and that requirs you being in good shape keep ur elbows up nd squeeze ur gas tank with ur knees stnd up
try some jumps...not too big in the beginning... and try riding over obsticals to get to know the bike more. take ur turns tighter and dont be afraid to stick out your leg more...stay safe...
when u hit a jump make sure your body is level and your elbows are up, when landing give it gas it will spin the back tire and u will have alot nicer landing
First of all if your thinking about competitive racing get out of the woodsand find a real track you can train at. Secondly you must leave that trail riding, gravel pit mentality behind. When I raced I saw many guys who rode up and down back trails and old roads wide open and thought that they were the best. Several tried racing and I mean tried they got smoked and came last or near and never raced a second time. Thirdly get in shape, the physical strain is brutal,40 minutes wide open isinsane.
Your riding seems fine but i'll give you a tip, don't spin your back wheel into to the ground because when you do a lot of that dirt gets pulled into your gears and shit, which can be pretty bad for the bike overall
wear a jersey a stuff all your gear would be best that wouldnt be good if you crashed with no gear on and dont really do burnouts to much it ruins your tires and gear box
and you sit way too far on the back of the bike. Try sitting up on the gas tank when turning... it makes it way easier to turn. And you should probably think about getting a 250, you look a little big for a 125. I traded my kx125 for a cr250r and its way easier for me to ride.

And FWI you can adjust the seat height by adjusting the sag for the size/weight of the rider or by chopping the suspension,
@jonoferguson22 or you can use a link that can drop the the seat hight as much as 2 inches. But he doesn't need a shorter bike, just one that can carry him better
alright dude, i know its almost 2 years later, and im sure ur a better driver now, but ur a begginer, y would be jumping, im 15 now, and i have a klx 110 (i know its too small, but i got it when i was 11, and my dad is too lazy to buy me a new one, lol), i rode my dirt bike on the back part of my seat for about 1 yr. 1/2, now im sitting in the front part of my seat, (like where the gas entry is), i personally think that sitting in the front part of the seat gives u more balance
Lots of crap advice, if it were me i would make myself a track up where the trees are wider apart (you will find out) ride lots and get acustomed to bikes traits and how to handle it. Take it as it comes, alternatvely get yourself on to a proper track, as riders pass you will know how much better you can be.
go faster and dont sit on the seat stay in more of a crouch maybe 2 or 3 inches off the seat :) also in turns use counter turning more then riding it like a street bike:)
hey so your a beginer so im not gonna beat ya up to bad. but first, never put music on a dirt bike video especialy this gay shit. second, work on gearing and listning to yer motor cuz it doesnt seem like your doing that. stand up a bit when you ride on trails. iv been trail and track racing sinc i was 5 and im 15 now soo yeah
basically, when your starting, just open the throttle everywhere you can for as long as you feel comfortable, make sure you pick lines and don't go past what you feel is safe for you, and within a few months of doing this then your gunna be pretty god damn good (:
Stand up, start both feet down, lean the bike with the foot out and push down on the bike, dont ride on asphalt, lean back with toes down when jumping...
@crimson22s cuz thats all they can do!haha dumb niggers cant ride next thing u know there gunna be puttin 40 inch wheels on the bike the and spinners hydraulics all that shit!
When I let out with the clutch on my kx 85, it's like it makes a weird noise, like really low, like a flood-ish noise, and it doesn't happen to my brother,
Can someone PLEASE explain to me in detail how to CORRECTLY take off using a clutch?
@jamestheman87 there is a cap that twists off you carb on the top and and a spring will come out with a needle and take the needle and youll see it has a clip adjust the clip to rich or lean and just find out were its not bogging out and itll be fine after and also check your air cleaner and its not how you let off the clutch that has nothing to do with dont worry about it
@jamestheman87 rev the bike not really high and SLOWLY let the clutch out. if your clutch is half way out your bike is still going to push forrwod just not really fast so slowly let it out and ull be good.
@jamestheman87 try putting ur index finger and middle finger on the clutch and the rest of ur fingers on the handlebars then ease off the clutch that was the easiest way for me
What do you run for gas ratio

the last thing he needs is a 250 2 stroke

If you're a beginner, riding where there are a shit load of trees might not be a good idea....

alright dude, i know its almost 2 years later, and im sure ur a better driver now, but ur a begginer, y would be jumping, im 15 now, and i have a klx 110 (i know its too small, but i got it when i was 11, and my dad is too lazy to buy me a new one, lol), i rode my dirt bike on the back part of my seat for about 1 yr.

What you are doing is just trail stuff.

go faster and dont sit on the seat stay in more of a crouch maybe 2 or 3 inches off the seat :) also in turns use counter turning more then riding it like a street bike:)

basically, when your starting, just open the throttle everywhere you can for as long as you feel comfortable, make sure you pick lines and don't go past what you feel is safe for you, and within a few months of doing this then your gunna be pretty god damn good (:

When I let out with the clutch on my kx 85, it's like it makes a weird noise, like really low, like a flood-ish noise, and it doesn't happen to my brother,
Can someone PLEASE explain to me in detail how to CORRECTLY take off using a clutch?
Thankk you
jamestheman87 1 year ago
@jamestheman87 there is a cap that twists off you carb on the top and and a spring will come out with a needle and take the needle and youll see it has a clip adjust the clip to rich or lean and just find out were its not bogging out and itll be fine after and also check your air cleaner and its not how you let off the clutch that has nothing to do with dont worry about it
Desrocher1 1 year ago
@jamestheman87 rev the bike not really high and SLOWLY let the clutch out. if your clutch is half way out your bike is still going to push forrwod just not really fast so slowly let it out and ull be good.
justabec7 1 year ago
@jamestheman87 try putting ur index finger and middle finger on the clutch and the rest of ur fingers on the handlebars then ease off the clutch that was the easiest way for me
