No flame just saying. Hit it with LOTS of speed and your weight on the pegs and a little forward. Let the ass end dance over the rocks and roots.

NE PA looks a lot like oregon (at least where I ride in OR) what helmetcam do you use and did you always use that helmetcam (some of the other videos look really pixelated is why I'm asking).

Ok, fellas your free riding lesson: If your feet come off the pegs YOU FALL DOWN! You can't "duck walk" up a hill, and or sit down. Stand up and keep your feet on the pegs and you'll make it.
looks like a sweet spot all i can say is since it starts to get vertical go as fast as u can till it gets vertical then lean forward and go wide open and hope for the best :P
We try to have fun, sure a few of the guys are still competitive from their racing days, and some of them still race and compete, but it's about staying young and having fun.

Oh the crashes that could have been captured just yesterday! 12 guys taken through brutal true A or harder enduro stuff. 12 riders thrashed in a short on milage, high in carnage day. Good tips. I will have to trade off with a buddy handling the camera duties on areas ahead of where we are going. Digging out the camera fast with mud grubs and forarms like Popeye takes a skill all its own! Some of the best crashes yesterday...were mine! Heh..

I took a good one yesterday, steep downhill, big square edged rock hidden under a ton of leaves, led to a over the bars, handlebar crushing into my thigh crash.
I must have been trying harder.. I crashed 3 times yesterday! The first one while looking for a few lost guys, I shot up the side of a hill climb instead of getting a proper run and felt the sharp rocks on my spanking new M5B tire, and let off the throttle...aarrrggg tumbled at least 40 feet down. 2 more on hill climbs..hit neutral going to 1st when I really needed the drive! Lazy boot? Both downhill cartwheels..one knocked me kookey but at least it was the end of the day.
i am looking to get a dirt bike for the first time Honda or Kawasaki and my friend suggested a 140 or 150cc for me but i want something that will last me for a good period of time and i want some feedback thanks.
dude get a yamaha 125 two stroke it will last forever an dit will outperform any honda 4 stroke 150 or 140 it ranks with 250 4 strokes for speed and power i have two of my own
Jesus, STAND UP on the fucking bike when you go up hills. It's not rocket science; hill + your 100lb + ass siting on the back of a dirtbike = more weight on the rear tire, and BIG CHANCE you fall back!
Very enjoyable videos dirtrider6. I am just back onto a dirtbike after a long break and had my first welcome back to some fun hillclimbs recently and zMXer718 is right until you look at them over the handlebars you have no idea, but when you hit the top still standing that beats any drug.
Glad you got back into the sport, last week we had Joe join us, he stopped riding for 3 years, took a ride on Buddys bike and suddenly realized what was missing in his life, and why he was depressed, he bought Ricks Honda 450 and had a blast, laughed all day, crashed, fell down, but smiled all day.
If it wasn't for dirt bikes I would probably be on Lexapro or some other anti-depresant like most other people in the world.

Every bike is bew at one time, but a dirt bike is meant, to get dirty, the first time you crash, or slide it down a hill is a bummer, but then it's cherry is broke, and you ride it for all it's worth.
Those dirtbike crashes hurt like hell. i hit a fence once flipped off, and the dirtbike landed on my leg. the engine burned my leg and now i have a permenant scar...
Feet on the pegs, weight forward, ride it like you stole it. Camera angle or not, most of those trails look like they might be a challenge for some B riders but hardly real technical. Come out west for some REAL hills. My 14 year old kid would slam up what I saw on your vid on his KTM 200.
I just recently bought a 1993 Beta Synt 260cc two stroke trials bike, I'm riding and learning with two district 6 champions, a LOT harder than it looks, a great learning experience. And the skills transfer over to Enduro riding very fast.
Ha! I've hit 40 now and had a heart attack in the last 3 months. I still ride but i've noticed i just dont have the bottle anymore and watching these riders makes me realise just how much i've slowed down and quietened down :o)
Thanks, greatbritainrob, we do have some awesome trails, glad your not giving up on riding, we have a trooper that joins us a few times a year Spencer, he was a A rider enduro champ, a few years ago he had cancer, has gone through 2 bouts of chemo therapy, no feeling in his legs(Chemo burned out the nerves), shifts with his heel! and still rides, never give up.

I had the opertunity to ride 2 versions of the 530 (excr, and xcwr) at a KTM open house this fall, super deep mud single track, what a torque monster! Thats a awesome bike you have there!
I don't know how experienced these guys are but for the smack talkers lets see you try it. I raced the Oklahoma Cross Country (OCCRA)series for 11 years, made it to the over 30 expert class. The camera angle does not do any justice on how tough these hills can be. Add rocks, mud and trees then you have good crash video.
I raced from 1992 to 2003 and due to some health issues and cost I have not raced or rode a bike since 2003. You talk about the 4 strokes, they do have some advantage. I raced a 1998 kx250 from 1998 to 2003. I added a pro circuit pipe with a 10 ounce flywheel weight, also changed rear sprocket and I could climb just fine even in the slick crap with good throttle control.

Most of the good ones are caught with the hand held camera, you have to
1) know the trails and the tricky sections.
2) Get there first.
3)The camera must be easy to get at, I have mine in a camera bag, zip tied to the front of my chest protector.
4)Be willing to show your own crashes so it's a even playing field, that way no one gets mad at you!
5)Have a lot of time on your hands to sift through a average of 4 hours of video each week and get 12 minutes of good footage!

Jesus, STAND UP on the fucking bike when you go up hills. It's not rocket science; hill + your 100lb + ass siting on the back of a dirtbike = more weight on the rear tire, and BIG CHANCE you fall back!

Very enjoyable videos dirtrider6. I am just back onto a dirtbike after a long break and had my first welcome back to some fun hillclimbs recently and zMXer718 is right until you look at them over the handlebars you have no idea, but when you hit the top still standing that beats any drug.

This is my all time favorite video I ever made.
Glad you got back into the sport, last week we had Joe join us, he stopped riding for 3 years, took a ride on Buddys bike and suddenly realized what was missing in his life, and why he was depressed, he bought Ricks Honda 450 and had a blast, laughed all day, crashed, fell down, but smiled all day.
If it wasn't for dirt bikes I would probably be on Lexapro or some other anti-depresant like most other people in the world.

the camera never does any hill justice. It's easy to say you could do that but until you're lookin up the hill over your handlebars you have no idea.

Every bike is bew at one time, but a dirt bike is meant, to get dirty, the first time you crash, or slide it down a hill is a bummer, but then it's cherry is broke, and you ride it for all it's worth.

Those dirtbike crashes hurt like hell. i hit a fence once flipped off, and the dirtbike landed on my leg. the engine burned my leg and now i have a permenant scar...

Riding is a blast, crashing sucks, I have many scars, and lots of aches and pains from broken bones and dislocated joints.
For the last month I have been riding through a back injury, that has put pressure on my sciatic nerve, what a pain in the ass!

Feet on the pegs, weight forward, ride it like you stole it. Camera angle or not, most of those trails look like they might be a challenge for some B riders but hardly real technical. Come out west for some REAL hills. My 14 year old kid would slam up what I saw on your vid on his KTM 200.

I just recently bought a 1993 Beta Synt 260cc two stroke trials bike, I'm riding and learning with two district 6 champions, a LOT harder than it looks, a great learning experience. And the skills transfer over to Enduro riding very fast.

Ha! I've hit 40 now and had a heart attack in the last 3 months. I still ride but i've noticed i just dont have the bottle anymore and watching these riders makes me realise just how much i've slowed down and quietened down :o)

Thanks, greatbritainrob, we do have some awesome trails, glad your not giving up on riding, we have a trooper that joins us a few times a year Spencer, he was a A rider enduro champ, a few years ago he had cancer, has gone through 2 bouts of chemo therapy, no feeling in his legs(Chemo burned out the nerves), shifts with his heel! and still rides, never give up.

nice vid man i no what these people are feeling feel kinda i gotta a 2005 tt-r125 i took it hill climbing the one day i must of gone through 2-3 plugs and i broke a helmet in half smacking a tree it was funny at first but then the pain come i also gotta yz 85 and i got hit by a kid and it snapped my swingarm and broke my ankle so dude you guys are seriously good and lucky you didnt break anything and to let you all know im only 12

Not a bad Video , good effort .I know from experience hills climbs that look small on film are much bigger in person.
I ride a 08 KTM530EXC-R which is great for Hill climbs & gotta be better than a 2 stroke.
Did you crash intentionally for the title of the movie ? If not , keep learning & improve on your technique & have fun.

I had the opertunity to ride 2 versions of the 530 (excr, and xcwr) at a KTM open house this fall, super deep mud single track, what a torque monster! Thats a awesome bike you have there!

I don't know how experienced these guys are but for the smack talkers lets see you try it. I raced the Oklahoma Cross Country (OCCRA)series for 11 years, made it to the over 30 expert class. The camera angle does not do any justice on how tough these hills can be. Add rocks, mud and trees then you have good crash video.

I raced from 1992 to 2003 and due to some health issues and cost I have not raced or rode a bike since 2003. You talk about the 4 strokes, they do have some advantage. I raced a 1998 kx250 from 1998 to 2003. I added a pro circuit pipe with a 10 ounce flywheel weight, also changed rear sprocket and I could climb just fine even in the slick crap with good throttle control.
