  • i actually find brad hot

  • Awesome Song ! So many memories ...

  • this song is class

  • These guys are geniuses. I've been listening to GSHF for 15 years and am still trying to figure it out.

  • Just a great song. You can look as deeply as you want to to find the meaning, but why would you want to? Just enjoy the tune and forget the rest.

  • Great Great track..from a classic gem of an album!

  • ....., and T.S. Eliot.

  • He's singing about existential crises (hence the mention of Sartre who is of course an existentialist). He's singing about the realization that he will one day age and die. He experiences feelings of sudden dread when thoughts about life not existing if it was not because people created the societies that they live in crosses his mind.

  • @TheFactsFiles22 You sound like a faggot. Its just a cool song about nonsense. Fucking hipsters get the fuck out.

  • @IIChristian89II Yes, it is a cool song...apparently even to someone with a double digit IQ...

  • @TheFactsFiles22 Buuuuuuuuurn!

  • @TheFactsFiles22 pretty happy sounding song.. is that for the effect of irony oh master decipherer?

  • @TheFactsFiles22 its obviously about bologna and cheese. jeesh. horrible interpretation of the song

  • aww shut up with the cancer crap ffs ,,,bunch of morbid attention seekers .

  • Very good song.

  • I wish my voice was that deep

  • Tέλειο αλάνια τελειο-φωναρα μεγαλη και τραγουδινι specialll :D

Someday I'll have a disappearing hairline

Someday I'll wear pyjamas in the daytimeeeeeeeeeee

  • My husband died almost 3 years ago from pheo adrenal carcinoma (he was 33.) He used to sing this song to me jokingly, CTD's were one of his favorite groups.

  • Once I was rumaging through my dads old cd's (I swear he has thousands:D) and I saw this and I was like: 'hmm, this'll be a laugh if nothing else...didn't realise how addictive it was gonna be :D

  • Deep song that was written with inflection. Unique and original, there's no one like them anymore.

  • Beautiful song...love it!

  • i love this band so much not many cd's around for thm tho

  • Ellen Reid looks hot in scrubs.

  • @SpeedOfDark186Kmps you would like to drill her anus ?

  • this reminds me of my brother and my army friends in basic and ait in the 93-96

  • son of dave :)

  • I LOVE forced references to literature, a vocalist who clearly doesn't belong in this genre, and lackluster instrumentals.

  • @Phoenixora3

    Such a hollow man...

  • i'm a fucken beast! a beast!

  • Like most of the Crash Test Dummies, this one gets better with age....

Just listen and you will learn.

  • @shaneinkster

Cunts like you need to get the fuck over Bieber and Hannah Montana, they never even enter my mind until dickheads like you post about them on good musicians youtube clips, fuck off and leave us all alone you loser.

  • @KidFaw

    the loser is you

  • @KidFaw

You have a foul mouth, a nasty disposition and the vocabulary of a stunted baboon. Just because someone doesn't share your taste in music is no excuse to be verbally abusive. At least shaneinkster didn't resort to further abuse in his reply to you, so credit to him for that. I, however, am of a less generous disposition, and felt you needed a more robust admonition. So please, don't make any more posts until you've raised your intellect to the level of a gibbering moron. Best wishes,

  • @shaneinkster Ouch. It stings me to see you list The Cars with the rest of that dreck. Benjamin Orr's (tragically) riddled corpse has more talent than any of their ilk.

  • clearly these crash testdummies were just fine with the car they smashed lol

  • 2:45 that guy in black is pissed hahaha

  • Miss the 90's, REALLY miss the crash test dummies.

  • this album brought me out of a depression instantly!

  • 0:43 to 0:46 bottom right

    LOLWUT?

  • Every album CTD's put out is a must own, it is so easy to sit and listen to them over and over. Its amazing how you pick up something new every time you hear it.

  • Actually, they did re unite not long ago for a concert in Winnipeg; they are masterfull.

I think they should go on for more of the same!

  • Very, very special and emotional, even now six years after I played (and sang along) this album time and again while carriying my then 4 months old son in my arms to get him to sleep, while he went through 6 rounds of chemo therapy to cure him from cancer (which succeeded!). This album is forever tied to the toughest period in my life and my son still calms down completely when he hears these songs.

  • @GoldenTurtoise That is great! I really hope things are well for you and your son! I have ALWAYS loved CTD! Every song is a rare gem that cannot be replaced!

  • @NitroMike2008 Things worked out perfectly and I could not agree with you more: gems they are, worth treasuring for a very, very long time

  • @GoldenTurtoise I understand your sentiment. I listened to this CD constantly after my father passed away when I was a teenager. There is something uplifting that helps even in our darkest hours. Good luck to you and your son!

  • @MATTWESTUK Thank you! This CD has become a token of strenght for me, where it apparantly supported you through a tough time as well. I hope you have found peace in accepting the loss of a parent way too early

  • @GoldenTurtoise Man! That must have been tough! I have three of my own and couldn't imagine going through that. God Bless you!

  • @heashon2000 Yes you can. What I learned was that we all have powers we are not aware of, powers which show themselves when life really puts you to the test. But of course I treasure your blessing! Thank you

  • @GoldenTurtoise Beautiful xxx

  • @stu808 Actually yes!

  • @GoldenTurtoise Bless up,I hope your son is doing ok!

  • Po parece que o cara tem uma batata na garganta hahahahaha mas o som é bom

  • @GoldenTurtoise your message of hope and determination has touched me greatly, i have the upmost respect for you and am so overjoyed that all is now well, this song uplifts me so much, i wish you all the love in the world xxx

  • @GoldenTurtoise 6 years? cool. I was in middle school jammin this...I'm 29.

  • @GoldenTurtoise How can someone dislike this? They honestly have no sympathy for people in need, I hope I don't meet too many of these kinds of people, congratulations on your sons recovery. :)

  • @GoldenTurtoise I dont think i could deal if my son got cancer or any desease really.

  • @thecrackfoxxxxx You do not have a choice when you stand there really. Try considering the alternative, can you imagine not being there for your son? You can't, I am sure. I wrote earlier I discovered powers within myself, which I did not know I had. You will have them too, but I hope sincerely you never need to find out!

  • @GoldenTurtoise Im so happy for you that your son is better. You and your son are very brave. I wish you all continued health and happiness.

  • This is an awesome CD!!! Thanks vicklemos!! I was just 11 when I bought it and it's still one of my favourites!!!! In Spain we've no news about Crash Test Dummies for a long time...... I suspect that they doesn't exist as a band no more......... Anyway, GREAT BAND!

  • This is an awesome CD (Yes, still it is!!!) I bought it when I was just 11 and it's still one of my favourites!!!!! In Spain we've no notice about Crash Test Dummies.......... I suspect that they no longer exist as a group.......... No concerts in Spain for a while, right?

  • i bought this album while living in paris,it was a new release then,i have never,to this day got tired of listening to it,and now my friends love hearing it all the time in my car, legend of an album!

  • great band great album

  • I am 19 but .......damn...........'90s music, even mainstream music, owns most of current shitty pop and rock....

  • his voice is sexy! lol

  • its a great song

  • My grandpa's dying right now, Pancreatic cancer . . . . . I asked if he was suffering, he said to listen to this song and he was going to go peacefully

  • @elginxxxman I have diabetes and I wish your grandfather best of wishes, he obviously has good taste to tell youto listen to this song!

  • @elginxxxman God is that a true story? Sorry I don't mean to doubt you man but that's so fucking cool :) "Let us all upon this Earth live together in peace and hope one day religion may cease"

  • @JohnMellor5202 Yes, he's passed now but he did go peacefully. And my visits probably account for a hundred thousand of this video's views.

  • I miss the 90's! whew, time flies....

  • @zybneck god me too! this song brings back some great memories from my early teen years! shit was so simple and fun back then...

  • the 90's were so great, there was always something new musically like every other day. I think having "Bubba" Ckinton in the white house had ALOT to do with that. He embraced younger people like me in our late teens and twenties, and was a great music lover himself-check him out on Arsenio Hall with his sax.

Needless to say it was a great time for ALL music styles then, great times indeed.

  • Fajny kawałek. Ale dźwięki "Mmmmmmmmmmmmm..." powodują, że chcę zabijać!

  • When we were teens my brother was a big fan of these indy/alternative bands.. I always wondered why.. It only occurred to me now that it's because he always had this need to be different and these bands were right up his alley.. He died of asthma but I wished I knew this fact before so I could understand his situation..

  • i love this guys voice. it is beautiful.it's not to often you hear a voice like this.

  • I like them....what ever happened to these guys?

  • @rubikin1

I don't know whta happened to these guys. I'd lik to know, too. I listtened only one album from them! i think about 15 year ago!

  • @raissabulaty they are still touring! they just did theyre first and only reunion show in their hometown of winnipeg and it was awesome! the rest of the tour tho is just an acoustic trio with him and ellen

  • This just gets better and better every time.

  • This just gets better and better every time.

  • Oh the 90`s were sooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooooood:-)

  • @Brigham2u there is not other truth.....

  • That blonde's voice in angelic!! And she's kinda cute too! ;)

  • I wish you would be a little more positive about your life....after this one. Just what have you done to yourself?

  • Crash Test Dummies NEW ALBUM "" Oooh La La ""

trust me its actually called Oooh La La.

    check it out !

  • É O MELHOR CONJUNTO QUE JÁ EXISTIU NOS ULTIMOS 20 ANOS!!! É O MAXIMO, PENA QUE SUMIRAM DO CIRCULO...

  • Hi, vicklemos, the vidio may be abit blurry, but the sound is great, I have tried other links, by far this the best one!

    Paul

  • These guys and Barenaked Ladies make me wish I were a Canadian.

  • fukin amazing album...

  • Iv'e actually cried wishing i was born in the 70's so i could have spent my glory days in the 90's

  • My hairline evacuated a long time ago, it,s ironic and funny to hear this after the 90,s.thank you 4 posting.

  • @oktobercat , Now that is funny!

  • anyone know the bass tabs for this song?? i realy want to learn this song

  • My girlfriend hates this band.. god knows why.. so I've now just decided to play this song full blast to piss her off!! haha.. serves you right for being a madaam

  • THE DEATH is wainting.......

  • In my opinion one of the most distinctive voices to come out of the 90s.

  • This nineties Magic right here

  • They don't write them like that anymore, or do they?

  • @niansenx Somewhere out there, they do. But they don't get popular anymore. Only Kesha and Lady Gaga.

  • first time i seen s CTD video, i was like "the dude from Highland is in a band?"

  • 3 blues harps actually! lol

  • the guy is playing 2 harmonicas!

  • my dad just showed me this song

    i love it(:

  • Truly brilliant!

  • This album is like a classic novel that takes you to another world full of poetry, irony, humor and romance. I have always been drawn to bands with male/female sharing vocals and CTD are just dreamy.

  • I really like their bassist

  • I like singin out loud along with this song... like I'm fucking ALIVE man!

  • @utuberine I hear ya mate!

  • Didn't they do a song with Kylie Minogue? Unless I'm totally wrong which i think I maybe.

  • quite simply a great catchy timeless song

one of many ctd had !!!!!!!!

  • Am I the only one who finds this song incredibly depressing?

  • @dickship2312 Yes.

  • @dickship2312 The lyrics are a bit what with Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock allusion, that poem is really depressin. We're not gettin any younger. Great song though.

  • @dickship2312 I think it's both humorous and a little depressing. But a good song nevertheless.

  • Too bad its not John Popper singing and playing the harmonica.

Listening to this song just makes me wish I was listening to Blues Traveler.

  • bassist is awesome

  • very underrated band, lyrics are so, so original.

  • I totally agree with you. I'm not their biggest fan I'll admit that, but it's hard to find a band with lyrics like theirs.

  • makes you think ..... alot

  • I friggin miss the nineties, man. I hada lot of happy shit goin on during my childhood. Born in 89', right when it was all startin.

  • I was born in 77 my friend. I REALLY miss the '90s music!

  • i was born in 83, in portugal, and i feel the same about the 90's music :/ to me, it just sounds like better music :x

  • @BassPlayerSusan hell yah, i was born in '79. in high school i listened to beatles, aerosmith, icecube, snoop, dre, acdc, and crash test dummies, the hip, the list is varied and goes on and on. dont forget nirvana, the ods, pearl jam, gnr......ghetto boys....rem... the 60's most definately the best music decade but the 90's and the 70's are next that.

  • @fassay The 80's were a great time in music but you had to look for the good stuff. Just like today. Don't forget all the great underground stuff in the 80's... Replacements, R.E.M. (i.r.s years) husker du, mission of burma, sonic youth. The 90's would not have happened without these.

  • @mattkudzu "The 80's were a great time in music but you had to look for the good stuff. Just like today." True.

  • @BassPlayerSusan

I was born in '88. so i was a child with this '90s music

  • @shaneinkster 95 raised playing in the basemenst listening to supermans song and voodoo on a two track cassette that my dad gave me, as i played on my N64(yeah i still has it no you cant)

  • @hicuprule

i like your comment but i did not ask if i could have somthing of yours. yours is yours. mine is mine. infact this song is on the mmm mmm mmm mmm album

  • @BassPlayerSusan Same. '77. Miss the music from the 90's.

  • deff one of the best albums post 70s. I'm an old fart Led Zep fan, but the Dummies rocked. I can't resist a growly bass voice, especially when singing meaningful and/or witty lyrics (Zappa fan too!)

  • best album i ever owed the whole thing is great from start to finish

  • you damn right man
