  • hi Jumoke! I'm thinking I might do mostly raw food but more vegetarian. I also don't have the funds to go all out like that. I spent 200 bux at the grocery store 3 days ago and my family has pretty much burned through that. how you doing?

  • your a cool guy.i am not going 100 percent raw but i am eating alot of raw food. what helps me is a juicer,they rock. mine cost 50 bucks and its great.I mix fruit and vegetables together and the fruit masks the veges out.

  • and another point making ur own bread is so wonderful and it taste great... my mom had to do it for her radiation prep but the whole family enjoys it all the same, plus its way better for you! so if u can then by all means go for it... smile

  • you can never have too much pasta in the house.

    what find a place that makes their own bread or make your own. its easy. yeah it costs a lot.

    I'm already a big fan and please keep it up, try for maybe 10 days instead of 20 THEN if you have to go like 80% raw.. You're nearly there - you can do it!

  • That salad looked so amazing! You did an awesome job with it. it did look like a tiny portion for you, even for me I don't think I would have been satisfied. Your doing great at it and I think your right to still eat the raw foods and try some other stuff with that because when your body is used to so much for energy and then you cut it by allot then you get tired and can't go through a whole day without sleeping for more energy. I support you Jumoke and wish you lots of Luck!

  • Raw is very very tough to do but wwhen your in the swing of it it is pretty amazing, I suggest you Go Vegan!! Its cheap cheap once you figure it out and you can do 70-80 percent raw if you like!

  • Dont Give up,, Use Almonds or Hazelnuts and coconut, to get your body working..

    The nuts have Natural Oil, and Coconut gets it all working..

    Keep it up...

  • It can get costly. But try not to give it up once you "cheat" with regular food all you will eat is the regular food. I ate regular food just for one day and gained 2 pounds back. You are doing good. Try just snacking on apples and the basics make a soup with your raw food. Or all your veggies or is that cheating... I get stumped a bit too. Try not to go back for the challenge ok... Good luck!

  • Hey thanks for your support! if i eat a regular meal it wont be a fatty meal it will for sure be a healthy one .. i like the raw foods .. it's just i don't have all the tools to do it correctly or money haha

  • Oh I know it do cost a lot. Just make sure the calorie count is less than 1200 you should be fine... Also invest in protein shakes they are good for you and usually only like 180 calories and they fill you up.Any other questions hit me up..

  • YUP, its hard but so is being overweight. I LOVED your recipe, esp. the sauce, i would add mushroom... in fact, I am going to. In that book, The raw food diet, it says as long as you eat 70 % raw, its good. I think even 50 % would be great, at least that is what I am trying for. Have a good day.

  • Don't give up! You can't think about taste or enjoyment because dieting isn't supposed to be fun and never will be. You need to remember that this is just a brief moment in your life and that once you've reached your goal you'll be happier than you've ever been and can live out the rest of your life that way.

    Momentary enjoyment vs. lifelong happiness: the choice seems pretty apparent to me.

  • I couldn't imagine not having a warm meal. Maybe you can compromise and have rice with some kind of veggie stirfry. Okay maybe it isn't raw, but still healthy, but maybe having one warm meal like that would sort of get you through the rough patches, but just do what feel right and don't beat yourself up about it. Keep up the hard work, loving this vlog!

  • U gotta do what works for u bro...I'm doing the raw diet but there are some things that I won't do without..for example, ranch dressing. I can't do the oil and vinegar dressings. My thinking is that it is better than I was doing before the diet...Improvements are improvements. It's all good. Can't wait to hear about your progress!!! JJ
