My driving school teacher knew the steves because her friend was dating one of them. She was taking a beginning programming class and was also a teacher, and steve jobs offered her a job at "apple" but she said no because they would never go anywhere lol. Sucks for her
Two friends in 1971? WRONG!!! They were mortal Enemies, and it was 1961! hahaha Actually, 1976/1977. Steve Wozniak, Steve Jobs, and Mike Markkula as well. In 1971, the Microprocessor was INVENTED that allowed that all to happen. from Intel where it all begins one could say. Also credit goes to Xerox PARC where the mouse and GUI were being developed
@nwmusic2010 Date obviously, but the man who was a MultiMillionare, that was Mike Markkula who stayed with Apple and helped finance them. Not to forget, Trip Hawkins also worked AT APPLE, amazing, then headed up Electronic Arts
Cringeworthy at best and a little misinformed or at least misleading by calling a GUI or wysiwyg display a "windows based" interface make people confuse it with Windows OS (or as he said Windows Corp instead of Microsoft…)
@SiddifOnline WinTel! Windows and Intel, yeah, Bill Gates and Microsoft play a large part of the story. There is the coinciding story of Gates and Jobs adviserial one and the internal strife of Apple, both in 1985 through to 1997, and a bit later, it was Apple's QUICKTIME that saved the company, before the iPod, and not the Mac either
He stupid. THERE ALL STUPID!! That stupid eyeclosing PC guy and this non-stop talking guy are stupid. They all get everything wrong!! They know nothing!!
ur giving false info the name was picked because steve jobs needed a company name and he told his empolyees that if they didnt come up with a name by 3 o clock the company's name would be apple (his favorite fruit)
It wasn't a "windows" based machine man. It was a G.U.I. based machine. Windows came after G.U.I. since Gates stole the idea from Jobs whom stole the idea from Xerox.
but to totally honest jobs and the apple team did tweak the os a lot from what it originally was at xerox gates just copied and continues to copy what macs do i think the man reason windows is widley popular is because of game support and the fact that apple had a lot of dark years till steve jobs returned in 1997
@MMPR2010 Xerox PARC, not only did Jobs see some of that R and D, but Gates did as well, they both wanted to use it somehow, and you get the 84 MacIntosh using GUI Windows and mouse that the IBM PC did too, thanks to MS DOS advance to Windows, 95, 98, ME, XP etc
Apples biggest competion was never Atari. Atari couldn't hold a flame to Apple. Apples biggest enemy from day one according to Jobs was always "big brother", or in this case, IBM.
Jobs and Woz didn't meet in high school, they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend at Berkeley. Jobs was 16 and Woz was 21. Get the facts straight dude.

Right, but he used their idea. He didn't create it himself. I guess "steal" is the wrong word. How about copied???

@craigstephenfoulon Jobs and Gates were aware, also look into Visicalc, which evolved to VisiOn, which Gates saw in 1982 at Comdex show
