  • Man....Danny and Clarence must be watching this form above. It is painful for me to go and see Bruce without both of them, it hurts.

  • The boss and Clarence are and always will be BLOOD BROTHERS..R.I.P our friend Clarence...

  • Just an unbelievable great song and a fantastic live version.... there's nothing more to say...

  • Definatley shed a tear, and can't believe they didn't put it on the live on NYC DVD! thanks

  • Listen to it maybe but watch, hell no. I didn't make it past 20 seconds with that jittery camera. Unwatchable.

  • It must be a variation of "Bob Dylan's Dream", those two are so familiar. Doesnt make this one her one bit less magnificient, so full of thruth and greatness.

  • Absolutely the best version of this spectacular song. Bruce has so, so many great songs but in so many ways, this is his best as it touches me in so may ways. Can't believe this performance was left off the NYC DVD.

  • can i double like

  • don't like his political views and to much proud of America Mr.Springsteen!

Giving wars and catastrophes to the world the polticians and militaries of US.

Think he is a bit wiser than them and love his voice and some songs!

This one is one of my favourites ever! Thanks for the music! From Germany!

  • teardrops in my eyes...

  • i heard this song on the jukebox at the bar i go to and, yes, i felt like crying. have been a fan of this song ever since.

  • 4:30 to 5:30... The most amazing thing I have ever seen.

  • Great song for a period mix

  • this pulls at th heart strings in a big way

  • What an incredibly beautiful song, Bruce isn't just a great musician but he is a true human being.

  • Bruce, esres un genio. Que maravilla de cancion. Gracias

  • This man is a genius. His first album was released two decades before I was born, but in my opinion he is the greatest songwriter of all time. His music is just brilliant...and as for E-Street..now THAT is what you call a band.

This line-up were truly born to run.

RIP Big Man - You inspired me.

  • @bosseforever Aww so nice! x

  • if you want to why he cries listen to the words its not about war its about life

  • Does anybody know why Bruce Starts Crying?

  • @mirkobruner He cries because of his feelings for the band and how he had mistreated them in the 90's. At least, that's what I think! The last verse has been changed as the studio version is very disrespectful to the boys.

  • feel like crying ... not out of sadness, but out of admiration for this extraordinary song, this extraordinary art

  • well put!

  • Beautiful song! Where'd you get the pro-shot footage?

  • What is this song about? It sound like its based on war?

  • 11 years burning down the road

  • C completes St Peter and James Brown brass section

  • not even two weeks on and it still hurts.we'll miss you mr.c , you were so much more than "bruce's sax player". Both of you knew that, and so did did everybody in the worldwide E Street family. Can't put a price on what you had, and shared. Thanks

    RIP Big Man

  • "We swore until we died, we'd always be blood brothers"

Clarence and Bruce had a magic that will never be recreated.

Big Man, you will be missed, but your music and spirit will live on.

  • RIP Clarence Clemons. With love and admiration from a devoted fan. You will be terribly missed.

  • I accepted the challenge to make it through and NOT get emotional. FAIL. Couldn;t even get halfway through before getting choked up. And the added verse with the whole band (almost) out front and Bruce himself getting teary......forget about it. Awesome performance!

  • nice one! I was at the two shows they did the dvd from and always watch the interview part of the dvd to see this and you're right a real tearjerker. Thinking of Clarence tonight, hope he makes a quick recovery.

  • Magical. He's fighting tears at the end. So am I.

  • I was angry with the world, then I listned to this.

  • I just can't get enough of this song.. And that final verse gets me sobbing uncontrollably.

  • God bless YouTube. But how does this stuff get on here without performers making YouTube take it down? I don't buy music anymore. I listen to NPR. Or if I'm at my computer to YouTube. YouTube has got to be the biggest impediment ever invented to music industry profits. Somebody please explain.

  • @StJouish alot of performers had it taken down. but people like Bruce springsteen are ok with there music being free. at one of his concert's bruce encouraged people to buy the bootlegs.

  • The greatest lyrics ever written, and so perfectly performed

  • looks like we need a new button here. the "epic-button"

  • amazing amazing talent........"bruce"

  • The fewer views only means that we who enjoy this song are elite and better than the loosers who lap up the puke produced by Justin, $.50, and the last idol winner.

  • what window-licker disliked this video... a justin bieber fan!

  • The new verse sums up life

  • Shivering

  • An 18 year old here, but don't worry i relaise this is where music is at for me. I went to see him with my Dad in Dublin on both dates in 2009. The best moment(s) of my life, so far!

  • Very emotional and awesome! In the last verse Bruce seems like he is going to burst into tears.

  • great song great Bruce final part too cheesy for me though

  • incredible.....

  • FANTASTIC

  • all I can say is it makes me cry it is so beautiful and what a true artist!!!!!!! hope he lives forever!!!!!!!!!!!! my kids dont see but I do 47 years old and still a rocker!!!! still got bike because of music like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WHO THE HELL MISSED THE LIKE BUTTON THAT EPICLY, I THINK A GOOD BEATDOWN IS IN ORDER. Honestly though this is the only song that can make me weep like a baby.

  • I love it that he changed the words of the last verse. The studio version was a little disrespectful towards the band. Lovely song, great post, I've only ever had the snippet from the New York DVD doc.

  • God who is the author and finisher of our faith will bring the desires of your heart

to pass. He in his infinite mercy and love sees our path and the dangers that are

before us, and keeps us protected and protects our dreams in spite of the world.

He gave Abraham and Sarah a child in their old age. Nothing is impossible with

him. Hold on to your dreams and visions Up there he is King, but down here you are the "BOSS"

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BRUCE NUMBER ONE

  • Bruce's first studio album was in 1973, and he is still making fantastic music 37 years later. What is more, he is still capable of appealing to new fans in new generations, as well as keeping the die hard fans who were there when he started out.

How many of the people in the charts today will be able to match that kind of phenomenal success?

He can because he is completely genuine; a musician and man of real integrity. Bless you Bruce, and thank you for some of the greatest music I know.

  • fuck you justin beiber

  • I agree to 100 percent with mooreunited. No other band on this earth inspired his fans more as Bruce with the E street band. His music goes straight to the heart. Millions of fans arround the world love the Boss and his legendary E Street Band. When I hear his songs are forgotten all my worries.

  • that performance brings tears to my eyes when i think about the love between bruce and his band mates and how they truly are blood brothers.

what amazes me is that the fans always want more. He is just a human being who has brought us all this pleasure.

at the end of the song you can hear fans chanting ROSIE ROSIE ROSIE. i admit that i too get greedy. at the end of the giants stadium show when he closed it with Jersey Girl i was upset he didnt give us thunder road. but common be thankful

  • WOW... amazing to see this footage after all these years.

I'm the guy that recorded the whole show and distributed it around the world.

Amazing to see how far it has reached.

I was known as ;Bossaholic: back then and what a time it was!

Flew from Melbourne, Australia to NYC and watched the last 5 shows of the 'Reunion Tour'.

Great memories which I will never EVER forget.

I hope you all enjoy and just imagine what it was like sitting there in on that warm July night.

  • The Boss never stop's amazing people, through out his 35 year plus music career he just gets better and better with age. His music appeals to all ages and his lyrics always tell a story. Truly a genius and very modest one about it all. When the next tour begins make sure the UK is included as we all hold ours arms out to welcome you. As I said simply a genius.

  • I never tire of this song. The emotion at 5:05 is what this song is all about. What I would have given to have been at that live show. Hopefully this will one day be released along with more tracks from the NYC shows in 2000.

  • i love you ryan, my blood brother

    9/21/79-9/11/01

  • To the friends I grew up with - my blood brothers - "we stood side by side, each one fighting for the other, and we swore until we died we'd always be blood brothers!" Never give up ~ Never forget!

  • if you really read the lyrics , there is so much pain...Bruce writes by far the best lyrics.

  • it's a crime that this has not been released on the live in nyc..an absolute crime.

  • Amazing to see Bruce emotionally touched at 5:02, you can hear it in his voice. I think thats what its about in this life: walking your miles together with your ''bloodbrothers''.

  • This is magnificent, I get goosebumps watching this touching performance.

  • Seguramente no haya nadie a quien no se le pongan los pelos de punta al oir este impresionante tema de toda esta pedazo de familia. Os quiero chavales.

  • Is the final verse different than the original?,this is an incredible version, this song is so much more powerful now that Danny's gone, thanx for this.

  • yeah the final verse for this song was for the 200 reunion concert, the original was made in like 1995

  • The last song of the Reunion Tour...never played live ... they all excited and I shiver down my spine...

  • ive listened to this at least 10 times in a row...amazing song.

  • I was there that night. Even up in the rafters, this moment welled me up big time. Not the best Bruce Springsteen concert I've ever seen, but by far the most emotional.

  • oh i remember my first springsteen concert...waited 11 hours in line and got to the 1st row... they came out and started with Two Hearts, before Radio Nowhere (which btw sounds awsome live)..

  • excellent take.

    many thanks!

  • it's a great, moving song. it makes you stop and think. thank you so much for having posted this

  • Poor viewing what more do you have to give to people without force feeding them, great song some people can only listen to the music and not hear the music.

Dedicated in memory of my long lost friend and blood brother ANDY MAC R.I.P

  • For my Bruce blood brothers and sisters out there... thanks for watching back, I love you guys...

    ~peace. love joy!

  • wow

  • It makes me angry when you watch and hear quite possibly one of the greatest songs ever written and performed live only has a few thousand views.. music like this doesnt come around everyday and you have idiots like lady Gaga having millions of hits.. Bruce is the Boss a legend that will live forever!!

  • @mooreunited But in a few years lady gaga will be gone gone gone. And replaced by a new hit machine that also will be gone

  • @mooreunited

No need for anger, nothing's for everybody, and people ultimately tend to consume whatever is put in front of them on a daily basis, and forced upon them with a sledgehammer.

But what a privilige it is to find something that you truly and utterly love, something that accompanies you through life, something that in the best and worst of times gives you a sense of place, direction and as The Boss himself once put it: "a home you can feel a part of".

Nicely edited by the way. Peace

  • @mooreunited Don't worry, Lady Gaga will disappear into nothingness, the Boss will remain! Besides, why people talk about Lady gaga? because she's a weirdo. Why people talk about the Boss? because of his music!

  • @1985Fla She's not even a weirdo, all that nonsense comes from her agent, she is a creation of some big time music execs who dreamed her up one day over a Diet Pepsi and a spring roll.

  • @mooreunited i'm sure if youtube was aroudn in the mid 80's, the boss would have millions of hits.

  • @mooreunited Just be thankfull you have the intellectual capacity to understand this music. :) And let all those idiots bath in their own ignorance. I actually feel sorry for some of those poor bastards

  • @mooreunite couldnt agree more really

  • @mooreunited Feel special. Bruce is, Lady Gaga isn't; those who appreciate Bruce are, and those who don't see that Lady Gaga is crap have no hope. Don't be angry, just accept that many people don't get it and never will, and that it probably won't change. And whatever you do, don't be superior.

  • @mooreunited I love Springsteen and Gaga. It's all about taste.

  • Bruce is a song writer but more importantly a songwriter that echos the human condition so perfectly that it is hard to understand how he understands it all. I have seen more Springsteen concerts than I can remember dating back to when he toured PA and played small clubs/bars mostly. I can't think of any other artist that I would stop whatever I was doing to listen to. No question in my mind, he is the Boss.

  • @mooreunited I certainly agree that Bruce is the greatest songwriter of all-time, but who gives a shit if everyone isn't into this? Let them have their Gaga and Bieber. It's like demanding everyone subscribe to the same religion... never works and doesnt matter.

  • @mooreunited AGREED - but Bruce has hundreds of versions of the same song in 1000 of venues ....he has more youtube counts together than any GAGA , GOGO , GIGI person together... he woke up with the voice...not trying to trash Lady G (i like her songs)...but out of 50 people there's one with a GAga talent and voice...out of 100 000 there's maybe one with a voice like that...maybe..! plus songwriting and band leadership + guitar , through the roof !!!
