I heard that Bushmaster did this but had a carbine-length gas system. The sight was cut down, then they placed an A2 front sight farther down the barrel to give it a full rifle feel on a 16" barrel. Popped some modified A1 handguards on there, and they were done.
this look Exactly like the same weapon that emil matasareanu use shootout with the swat from the 1997 north hollywood shootout, but his own was a bushmaster dissopator with a m16a1 handguard.
