  • awesome talent. The impact on my nerves was enthralling as someone scratching the chalk board over and over again. Ending was as surprising as any sci fi anthology I have ever seen. Way to go Steve

  • This is good enough to be an original Twilight Zone episode! great writing, directing, and acting. Fantastic! Any more?

  • holy fuck! that was fuuucked upp!! surprised arts such a good actor omg!!

  • Man that was fucked up! LOL

I thought it was a neat short. I love Art! He should go into acting. =)

  • I know and met the person who made this. He's really nice

  • wow, quite freaky

  • What an awesome "short"!!!!

  • holy crap, the end is freaking insane o.o

  • Daria, Your great! Oh yea I lisen to 105.1!

  • I guess they won't be playing this at the marriage seminar this year. Uncle Scrub you ROCK!!!

  • Hi Steve, just curious, why venture into horror? I would have thought you'll go more into comedy - great flick tho. Are you planning now to go into production or what?

  • Great flim, heh.

Big fan of Art and Everclear.

  • Hey Uncle Steve, it's Mason from the Gorge. Me and Emma just watched your flic and we were blown away. Nice work! It was real creepy, but in a good way. Best of luck to you.

  • Two of my favorite people!

    Daria & Art

    Love you guys! ♥

  • That's really disturbing, but good. O.O The ending's really creepy.

  • jesus that was amazing

  • That was Great! Kind of reminded me of "Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe.

  • That's exactly what I thought when I saw him start to brick her in! o:

  • how hasnt she died of a heart attack

    yet

  • Divorce just would have been too gentle, huh Richard...what would happen to the bodies? :/ I know it's morbid, but would they be preserved inside the cement, or just decay? I think Mythbusters was looking at something similar but I can't remember...

  • The pressure from the gases generated by the decomposition process would build up and ultimately cause the brick wall to explode outwards, blowing corpse parts all over the place.

    Awesome!

  • XD Thanks for clarifying

  • As cool as that would be. What would really happen is the gases would build up and blow the cork off the end of the breathing tube

  • Daria was great,The ending was Awesome and Creepy.

  • Funny, now all of a sudden after watching this my wife keeps telling me to 'put a cork in it' - wonder if that means anything?

    Sleepless in NJ

  • Damn Art!

    How could ya do it?!

  • This was creepy, I loved it...

  • I DON'T GET IT!?

    ahhh.

    please answers me.

  • Watch the wall as he walks away during the last few seconds of the movie, what do you see???? Do you get it now??

  • oh em gee! I get it now...thanks :)

  • Gave me the creeps!!

    Awesome stuff

  • wow.. the ending..

  • That was great.

  • I loved it! I had no clue...

    Daria O'neill 105.1 RULES!!

    Art is fantastic!

  • yess i lovee herr

  • Daria was perfect.....oh my God at the end I could not breathe...awesome

  • That is one of my favorite youtube videos. It is so awosomly distrubing!

  • This should go on The Twilight Zone

  • Very well-done... as a PDX local, it's great to see the local talent. As others have posted, this is far, far too good for YouTube. Excellent work!!

  • Funny to put a face with a radio personality I listen to every day in the afternoons, but this is really kind of a neat little short! I love Portland. Gonna miss it. And yes... Poor Daria. How utterly disturbing and yet totally awesome. Good job, guys.

  • ..Weird.

  • Wow.....

  • amazingly disturbing

    i really liked it

    i love art alexakis

  • very cool. i like it.

  • Okay, poor Daria.... lol

    creepy... sad, disturbing...

  • A few observations...(may contain spoiler) this guy seem to always have annoying people in his life, his brother and now his wife, who's next. also he didnt really get rid of them because his brother is still around so i guess his wife will be too...and he seem to be a serial killer based on the many brick work and tubes seen in the end...really nice short though...i like it.

  • ok well, other than her being uber annoying, there really wasnt a good reason to kill her. i though it was kinda of pointless. sorry.

  • It was a short on the mind of a schizophrenic. I'm sorry you couldn't see the art in that.

  • It's not easy to make films, and this one was one of the better shorts I've seen. I don't like the role of the woman - I think it could have been made to make us more sympathetic to her. Her mean ways almost justify the end, but I think it would have been scarier if we'd been hoping she'd live. Still, a solid film. Awesome acting, Art.

  • excellent work.

  • good short.

  • This is such a gripping construction... not for the faint of heart. Great job. My favorite line was where the brother was telling the main character that it was not too late to change. Love always hopes...

My favorite shot was from the bottom of the water glass. You are incredibly talented... gifted from a powerful giver.

  • I loved it!

  • That was really good! Even though it's basically a revamping of Poe's Cask Of Amontillado. I liked it!

  • I KNEW I had read one of Poe's stories that reminded me of this, I just couldn't remember the name. Yea, it is very similar to that, but I still like it.

One must ask themself, fitting revenge, or inexcusable crime?

  • There are two actually, 'The Cask of Amontillado' and 'The Premature Burial'. I personally like the first one best!

  • loved it, very good ending too.

  • That was scary and exciting.

  • I love this movie is so BRILLIANT!! I love the ending scene!

  • wow that was amazing....a little harsh jaikesghost to call us illiterate, and yes i did notice it was like the cask

  • But it isnt!

  • It seems to be loosely based on most of Poe's works. I'm not saying it is a direct copy.

  • Awesome.

  • Brilliant!

  • Well made. But it's just a cheap hackjob of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado".

Didn't anyone pick up on that? Or are you all illiterate?

  • Very nice work :)

  • What? You're an Expert.? Pfft:

  • the ending is just sick you have to wonder why and how long had he been doing this and what did he mean by maybe the next one will listen ou need to do a sequle

  • Incredible

  • she deserved it...

  • WAY too good for YouTube....5 stars and fav!

  • too good for youtube

  • How can anyone not rate this a 5? Fantastic job!

  • That was awesome. I remember Dara from the KNRK days (Fellow Oregonian here) and Art was always the home town dude. I could see Art playing Norman Bates. Nice job S.L.J. great story and unique camera shots.

Gus Van Sant would be proud - once he gets out of rehab ...

  • I just read "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edger Allen Poe. I gotta ask if this was inspired by that or any of Peo's other writings. Was it?

  • brilliant

  • that shit was demented

    great job though

  • Ahh, a remake of an edger alen poe classic. A bit of a remix this one.

  • Nice...I like the filming...very good.

  • This was a great film. +faved.

  • Great film!!

  • I had no clue that Art could act! Brilliant job.

  • He's had a couple other roles. Look him up on IMDB. The only other film I've seen him in was Committed with Heather Graham, but he's listed in the credits for some movie called DishDogz and a couple episodes of Neds Declassified

  • BEST FILM ON THE NET PERIOD

  • good short by a sick man.

  • outstanding short film, really well done. i love creepy stuff so it amuses me

  • Very well shot and directed but very strange. I know that was what you were going for so well done.

  • amazing film. i loved all the twists. art can act like the perfect mellow psychotic. yeah!

  • This is great! Very disturbing, but definitely entertaining. My husband thought it was funny. Should I be concerned? ;-)

  • Extremely well done! The story is both creepy and funny.

  • I've been a huge fan of Daria O'Neill for almost four years (she's a radio DJ here in PDX), so I'm probably a little biased, but this was great. It freaked me out, as one of my biggest (albeit rather irrational) fears is being buried alive. For this reason, along with a few others, I haven't been able to watch it a second time yet. This is probably the only film (short or full-length) that's ever truly scared me. But I still loved it.

  • I love it. Very creepy.
