ik mis je zo enorm...ik zou zo graag bij je zijn...ik weet niet hoe ik verder zonder jou moet...tis al dertien jaar...en ik kan het gewoon nie meester.....
The writer of this was KOKOMO vocalist FRANK COLLINS - and the LP was produced by JAMES MACK & LEO GRAHAM who were indeed a part of CHAMPAIGN. The chart position on this (U.K.) was 55...a mere 5 POSITIONS BENEATH THE PASSING POINT TO HAVE A 'PERMANENT RENAISSANCE' IN THE CARDS!
Can you find it your heart to give us "PART-TIME AFFAIR" from this LP as well?
@pablo210 some years ago, maybe just before YouTube, I was trying to find this song and came across it on either Amazon or Artist Direct, and I thought they mentioned then, that the group Champaign, had something to do with this song or group (I can hear a similarity to How Bout Us and Try Again). But now, when i research them, there is no such mention.. so not sure who wrote it then...
Amazing track, why wasnt this a massive hit in the UK. So good i have kept two vinyl copies. Along with Arrivals singles. Regards to the ex members of Kokomo / Arrival. You were / are Great....
For several years, I didn't know that this group was formed from the late 1960's-early 1970's band 'Arrival'. I loved their two chart hits in 1970 'Friends' and 'I Will Survive'. (not the latter-day dance on a pub table to a marauding, jeering crowd version).
I had to get back on board this one again and comment as this particular tune is just so outstanding!
I hope this will feature in other people's Top Twenties as it does mine.

@pablo210 My money is on Frank Collins having written and sung lead on this great song.

Another great song which makes me weep considering the cheap fabricated trashmusic we are forced to hear on radio today...

Somewhere in this house of mine, no doubt covered in a carpet of dust, is a copy of this classic decaying away.
I don't even think this one charted in the United Kingdom. It is an absolutely superb tune and would have been an ideal fim score.
Was it out in 1983 or 1982?

This track came out during the long hot summer of 1983 - one of my favourite tracks of that year. Thanks for the post destinytje.
