  • I have to accept it, it is an excellent product.. but, if you drop it with the screen facing down and it lands on a sharp small object, the screen could be broken. Maybe a removable cover for the screen could be a good idea to prevent that.

    BTW, Good product.

  • @Hyudryu Δεν ξέρω αν είναι λογω ηλικίας, αλλά είσαι ανόητος.

  • everything works fine except the home button stopped working

  • You will probably sell millions to iphones and such but the material used does not protect the screen and as far as the sides, you would get the same result with rubber-like material as I dont think I will ever throgh my phone at the wall

  • how about making one for guitar pedal boards and guitar cases?

  • He didn't hesitate to use the word 'Solution'. I hate him already.

  • Hey I love this product it could be improved by making it cover the back- just in case(<-LOL)

  • where can i buy this foe my galaxy s 2? im from israel.

  • nice rythm in the beginning

  • mice rythm in the beginning

  • did you tested it on your wrist too?

  • @Skaway You have such bad grammar.

  • Awesome!!! If you are someone who drops things sometimes, you can just buy the iBand instead of repairing your iphone when you dropped it. I always make sure I hold my devices firmly, but if I would have an iPod, I would buy this anyway.

  • real flubber :D

  • bonehead

  • where can i buy this d30 iband for 3gs, could u pls give me any official site???

  • nice playing the shins music!

  • This d3o material is pointless in things like laptops and mobile phones. It must be expensive so it is really intended for people who are easily impressed by fancy names and new technologies. The material was first developed for use in sports equipment where it has the great advantage that it remains flexible when moving and flexing the body but becomes rigid on impact. You do not need this property in something that does not move like the human body. A semi-rigid material will absorb impact.

  • i like how he bangs the laptop case on the table and says its protects the laptop, but then sets it down and say oops i dropped it.

  • woooooooooow this is great i want 10

can i buy this thing in mexico????

    sorry but my english sucks

  • @r0sarturoweasley si alguien te contesto me avizas yo tambien quiero d3o

  • at 3:43 ,he have to pull the cover off the phone to press the on/off button lol

  • Fake interview made by them self.

  • i hate commercials. voted down

  • I have one and the only thing I have to say is that the power button is too far down so it's a little annoying. Also, it would be cool if it came in different colors or something. lol.

  • the need to make a d3o case for screens.

  • Be ready Asian women online lushfmlk.info

  • What would this stuff do in reaction to a bullet? (I mean the orange gel)

  • keep the orange color and make the iband bigger like impactband, and you have a winner.

  • anyone have any idea where i can get a d30 for iphone 4 in australia?

  • @blackbeltskater Amazon mate, either iMesh or iBand.

  • bought iBand d3o from Amazon about a month ago. It really works great and is better then the one you see above. Has all necessary holes for every button and I already thrown my 3Gs from the balcony of third floor. It is the best protective solution available.

  • where the heck do you buy it

  • @ImTheEmma if u r in the UK u can get it in the carphone warehouse :D

  • @MrGiulioG thanks

  • it is the best form of rubber protection but what happens if the screen or the back hits something not completely protected is it? still a flashy product though

  • lmao FUCK PROTECTION!!!

IF IT ANTE SKIN ON SKIN I ANTE GOEN IN

    ahahahahahhahaha

  • d3o=flubber :3

  • Ok, wait, I understand this protects the rim of the device it is on but it has no backing, so what if there is an accute impact that does not even interfere with the rim, like hitting the corner of a table, speaking of table, does it have a good enough lay-on-the-table design to where the device's front and back do not touch the surface it impacts? I also dont understand how the screen survived hitting the rocks as they ar pointed and couldve easily impacted the screen. Hmm

  • Crap, LOL at 5:00 after throwing it against the wall...the Home button no longer works.

    Boy, great protection.

  • @Pjomell thats because when your on the home menu the home button does naff all anyway, unless you have the new software which they dont...

  • I want to touch the orange thingy x)

  • Well thats's my case search over :D

  • guys did you wanna do an iband for the iPhone 4 ?

  • @iorshkee it comes out in august

  • I want d30

  • you should sell the raw form

  • I luv that Orange thing!

  • LOL AT 05:00 its works perfectly.. presses the home button a few times nothing happens.

  • @reccirunescape It was prob already at the main home screen, and at that time pressing home from the main home screen didnt go into search

  • @reccirunescape thats cuz there isn't any app open smart one

  • @heyitsmecarlos "smart one", the home button shouldv'e point him to the search back and forth

  • @HouseCrafts That's a setting.

  • @reccirunescape its becuz it was already at the homescreen

  • @reccirunescape he is using old softwar, pre-search function, so on the home screen the home button would do jack all anyway.

  • @reccirunescape HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @reccirunescape thats because he was already on the home screen.

  • @reccirunescape Since he was already at the home-screen, what were you expecting to happen?

  • @reccirunescape older version of iOS, where the home button didn't go to the search menu.

  • @reccirunescape But it was already on the home screen....dumbass

  • We're waiting for iphone 4....please don't miss the cancell noise micro in the future cover. Probably you will have the best case for iphone 4 so, take care the design. Thanks

  • can you make one for the HTC HD2?

  • Hoolly F***!!!! this is COOL!!!

  • That is good shit. Im fukin sold

  • Sold.

  • poor ipod touch but nice idea guys

  • My mobile phone could use that.

  • mmm...ouch!

  • WHERE DO YOU GET THIS PRODUCT FOR THE ITOUCH LOL

  • I'm sold.

  • good shit

  • it looks like the new case for the iphone 4 ...

  • My iBand hasn't done any damage to my phone and has protected it many times when its fallen to the ground.

Mine does not have the back but tbh the back has a bump that suspends the iPhone so it doesn't actually hit the floor. The lip on the front also does the same and for the idiot saying it doesn't cover the screen, if you cover the screen in d3o you aint gonna see it.

Also note this video is old and the newer versions provide plenty of access to the buttons and allow it to be connected.

  • lol, switched ipod.... 5:48

But still, if the ground is not flated it won't have any effect and your ipod / iphone will die : (

  • There are two versions - one with a back (iBand Hardcase) and one without (iBand)

  • Warning* u can't access the top power button with the case on. See at 3:50 he had to peel it back to silence that call!!

  • How did you call yourself Tech21 when there is already a Tech21 that makes musical stuff ???????????????

  • Pepeeee mu wenooo

  • the screen doesn't get scratched?

  • @BanditStyIe iPhone Screens have a scratch-proof coating - unless you keep them in a bag with a bunch of keys or something, it shouldn't scratch.

  • ok im from mexico, what if i want an iband?

  • its amazing but were is the bacck if it falls on a nail on the back ur itouch will be stabbed in the back for real but nice test

  • It's pretty stupid to not have a back. Ur phone can get scratched

  • @ownerofaiphone There is a back for the iPhone case and btw could just be a prototype

  • @ownerofaiphone There are two versions - one without a back (iBand) and one with a back (iBand HardCase).

  • Jason, it was good to meet you and I look forward to our business.

  • lol 3:44 = fail

  • can someone answar @ph3rr3r0 ?

  • 4:52 nice bum

  • cool and very inventive

  • fuck youtube this new website update is fucked

  • @shoovie1999 i hate it too , actually there was a bar called " feed back" i expressed my thoughts about this new look (they were negative btw) , and they downgrade it into the classic one , so i'm still enjoying youtube

  • why doesnt the cover have a back? what if your product doesnt land on the sides

  • i can see this technology going into cars and stuf.. very nice..;]

  • itcharduk, every normal person knows that you need to clean the phone and the case on a regular basis to prevent scratching by foreign particles. sounds like user error. It's a little un-pro to place your costumer service complaints on a you tube page. imho.

  • Every normal person would expect a protective case that doesnt damage what it is supposed to be protecting ! It completely defeats the object.

Given that damage was done in 3 weeks of normal everyday use, how often exactly do you recommend people to remove their iBands (Which isnt easy!) and then clean them?

Once a week? Once a day?

Posting comments/complaints isnt unhead of, normally not something I would do, but after Tech21's poor customer response, its important to warn other consumers

  • cool cover

  • great cover

  • nossa isso deve ter doido xD

  • i want the raw form

  • @hidemysocks me too

  • i would love one of those. where can i get one of those cases @UKTECH21

  • Look like Silly putty !

    what is different? @UKTECH21

  • Too bad they didn't make a case that covered the ENTIRE phone and include a lay on the table design.. that would seriously be the ultimate case. More or less..your iphone would have to land on its side for this case to be effective.. if it lands on the back or on the screen what then?

  • it still works because it is thicker than the iphone so when it lands the screen doesn't touch the ground but the frame of the case...

  • If they would sell the putty instead of these cases they could make alot more money.

  • where I can buy the d3o flubber 2:30 ?????

  • Comment removed

  • I wana see him hit the iphone with the hammer while it's in the case.

  • Why they only make it a made and not a full case with a back side to it. And this one u can't press the buttons. Look at 3:44. He peels off the band to silent the phone

  • @nicoya3233 Well if you check the website you will see we have already released a new version and it is selling really well.

    Thanks

    Tech21

  • i want the putty!

  • like kevlar

  • Wait can i buy the putty stuff? it looks fun

  • @Emovamp64 Hi and thank you for your post, unfortunately we are not selling the putty and it is not available.

    Thanks

    Tech21

  • D: well you know what you guys should do?

    sell it. =)

  • Dont buy the iBand... its scratched all of the chrome on my iPhone. Contacted them and their "interneational sales manager" after seeing it.. completely ignored my calls... still not got back to me.

Gutted my iPhone was scuffed and scratched by the iBand... and I had only had it 3 weeks.

So according to this... you can throw it against walls, drop it off buildings... but if you get a bit of dust under the edge of the shield.. it will scratch under the iband.

  • @itchardUK Sorry to hear this but the bezzle blaster will fix any chrome scratch on you iphone. google it. its really easy and makes it look brand new.

  • Thank you for letting me know. I will definitely be looking into the bezzle blaster some more.

Unfortunately, this still doesn't alter the fact that the iBand will scratch your phone Underneath the very same part its supposed to be protecting.

If the bezzle blaster had been a worthwhile option, I would have hoped Scott Bouquet (The previously mentioned manager.. or whatever title has been made up for him) would have been able to advise what to do next. Instead, he ignores calls and emails.

  • Yeah I know what you mean, its actually called bezel blaster and I dont think i would want the iband anyway because I would just get a normal case.

  • @itchardUK The iBand has not damaged your phone as mentioned in emails to you we have sold millions of iBands and its strange how only yours has scratches on it, after the tests we carried out and close examination your claim was denied, it was found you have damaged your phone with grit like substance on the inner lining of the band and the only reason you continue to write on this blogg page is because we refused to replace your self damaged iPhone,

I Believe I did call and email you.

    Tech21

  • The reason for me contacting you was to find out what could be done. I had a 3 week old iPhone that would not be scuffed or scratched if I had not had the iBand on it. I didnt need to drop it, go dirtbiking, rock climbing or anything else. It was scuffed by a bit of "particular" that had got under the rubber shield. Hardly rocket science. The fact is, that you stopped returning calls and emails, The last time I spoke to you, you said you were in the middle of something and would call me back..

  • You never did call back, or reply to the emails...

Please remember that if you didnt have negative feedback from the people who buy your product, then you would never know where you need to improve the product. Brushing them off just shows how good you are at your actual job. The wording on your last comment confirms it. What would I have to gain to damage my own iphone with grit? Just to make a claim? What about the marks left on the iphone where the rubber injection mould was snapped off?

  • Photos are available for anyone that may want to see the damage. The reason I commented on Youtube comments was to warn people about the product fault (Which it seems isnt the only fault)

The same as any other product or companies that people have problems with. My iPhone still works fine, I still use it...... and I still use it WITHOUT any protection on it. It had no marks on it other than what the iBand managed to etch on it in 3 weeks and a bit of dust !

    End of story.

  • where are the photos?

  • I have uploaded the photos to Picasa Web Albums. Will send you a direct link

Notice you got a thumbs down for asking to see the photos..?

  • iband + zagg invisible shield

  • eman大大可以直接不要接那通電話就好啦~

    雖然說要拿掉iBand真的有點麻煩

  • lol @ 3:44!!! had to pull the skin off to silence the call.

  • It is possible to silence the call, and turn the phone on and off with the iband actually on the phone. but you have to press much harder, and that very same movement will scuff and scratch the chrome on the iphone if there is any "dust" under it. Great concept, incredibly flawed. A real shame.

  • @emanvz already updated thanks

  • @emanvz i think i that moment was only on a prototype

  • Great video, but that final drop on to pebbles could have gone badly wrong if the screen had touched a pebble before the iBand did!

  • hmm this is perfect because I daily throw my phone at walls in demonstration not to mention those days when I just have a random craving to toss it off a balcony, just out of whim and will (lolz). It looks back-pocket friendly, so I think I'll buy it

  • I had my iphone & iband for 3 weeks, I don't rock climb, Im not in the army, Im not a builder, Ive never dropped my phone (still havent) and even tho tempted, I've never thrown it against a wall to see if it works....

The chrome surround on my iPhone, the very same chrome bit that was being protected by the iband, was scuffed and scratched by "dust" that got under it while it was sat on my desk or in my pocket. It wont take much.... and tech21 won't bat an eyelid as long as sales are made.

  • A full body cover invisibleSHIELD plus this would pretty much protect a phone against anything.

  • what happends when you run over it with a car?

  • lol

  • in Korea, It's not on sale.... ToT

  • guys i have this case, just buy it, my iphone fel off 3m and nothing happened

  • to all you wingers and moaners out there, i bought the iband, and am very pleased. Get over it. it takes about half a second to pull back the cover to push the buttons. If this is the small problem with the iband when it gives this much protection, then so be it, Im the clumsiest person on earth and it has saved my iphone countless times. I would gladly buy it all over again, and have been recommending it to all my friends.

suck it up all you lazy technobitches

  • The 3G S has a bit of a hump in the back. I can't trust this iBand because of it: there is nothing covering the back. I've been trying to get a # this company requires to return this product, I've E-mail, I've called... I got sent a dead link where I was supposed to get this #. I call, they tell me to re-E-mail the person who sent me the dead link. Then I call again, they take my # & tell me someone will call me back.

  • While this is true, the iBand is not there to protect from any scratches, just major impacts. So pretty much, your iPhone won't die with it on, but it might get a bit scuffed..

  • very true, but you don't expect a case you buy for your phone to make more marks, scuffs and scratches underneath where its protecting.

  • Its no more expensive than any case you would buy from the apple store. If you got the first version just cut holes yourself. First version of anything of course is going to get criticisms, its only after they get feedback theyll improve the existing one.. Sillicone doesnt keep the shape of whatever hit it so it isnt just a "tiny channel of d3o" running through it...the entire iband should be made out of it. the orange raw version keeps its dents when its smacked (if you watch carefully)

  • The cost is not the issue, paying for a poor product that is not fit for purpose is! If you do deceide to take precision files to the case be prepared to cut a lot more out than the marked area before the buttons anywhere near pressable! The whole band is not solely manufactured from d30, there is only a tiny d30 (the orange stuff) core running inside the plastic.

  • @dz201 This is the great things about d3o that is all you need to protect a phone of that size, all the products are drop tested before we calculate the amount of d3o required.

    Thanks

    Tech21

  • This thing is a POS! It's really hard and it's impossible to use the iPhone after it's on. Don't be conned into buying it by these fockers!

  • Kind of a cool idea, but here is the main problem- THERE ARE NO CUT OUTS FOR THE SLEEP BUTTON, VOLUME, AND VIBRATE SWITCH! The thing is useless! What a waste! Come on d3o! You have totally dropped the ball here. Give us an update, because I am not too impressed! Even my 5 year old was baffled! A 5 year old even knows better- What the DUCK!???

  • This product is the biggest CON-JOB in history! No access to the side buttons. The headphone jack is too small so you can only use apple headphones! someone needs sacking for this catastrophic error! Company needs to be sued for mis-marketing and selling faulty products! If you have already been suckered in then get a refund! Apparently they now have corrected this with a VERSION 2 so they have basically admitted the fault so i think you can contact them to refund and replace free of charge!

  • They made a new model that has cut outs for the side buttons and the power button just to let you know.

  • I was told this wouldn't work by Tech21. They said that they couldn't have more holes in it because it would weaken the structure.

This however, would just confirm how little their International Account Manager actually knew.

  • What a waste of money! I cant use the sleep awake or volume buttons! The iband is very cheap & flimsy looking with only a tiny channel of d30 running inside it. Don't expect to bash the case and watch it magically become rigid!

  • I cant believe this. And the screen is ok?

  • i cant believe it! you cheat! i bought it and i cant press the sleep wake button! and i saw in your video that you cant either! i want my money back! i cant believe you would do this... i hope no one buys this case... these people are taking our money for nothing...

  • Make a whole case out of that stuff, not just a band!

  • 3:44

  • it's an iPod Touch, not an iTouch!

  • he said i touch product dear !!

  • I know i'll get heat for this, but I decided to test out what he did with the video so I threw my phone against the wall and it didn't turn on.

Watching iPhone repair videos, I got my iPhone to work. The plug #1 got disconnected on impact. I was happy that my phone worked (touch screen and all), the only thing was that I couldn't hear anything out of the earpiece (meaning speakerphone only to hear anything)

Lesson learned: Don't test this product, its pure lies. I spent $120 on a new lcd/digi

  • heap of shit. You cant even use the buttons!!! typical english..................useless

  • Got my iband from Technocrowd in th UK.

Shame there is no access to the mute switch..but hey I'm always foretting to switch it back on so this is not such a bad thing!

Who knows we might even see "iphone throwing" replacing the discus at the 2012 Olympics!

  • I Wonder Whats Happends When You Shoot It With A Gun Could You Make A Video Of You Guyys Shooting it?

  • Comment removed

  • no i asked that they say it wount stop bullets

  • Just wondering why you'd choose the same name as a well-established US company of 20 years? It's causing much confusion in the marketplace, and they're getting email inquiries on a daily basis.

  • Hold on... Im not being funny... but you don't answer the phone with the Sleep/Wake button... He Turned the phone off because a phone call came through while they were making a video......

    Right or wrong?

  • ...he is saying that those buttons aren;t accessible....when you get the case...there is no way to use the volume button.....also....the volume and lock buttons don't work either if you use them....they didn't show that to you? did they? no

  • Well, ok. No need to get touchy there. I've got the case on now. It is true about not being able to put the phone on silent. But the lock and volume buttons work fine with a little more pressure than normal. Not the best design, granted. But what your saying isn't right. Sorry!

  • @dhstandard22

Apologies about this comment, at the time, it was right, but 3 weeks after having my iband on, i took it off to clean it all up... and the iband had scuffed and scratched the chrome on my iPhone.

I'm with you, its a terrible design, A great idea... but totally flawed.

  • Where can we buy this ?
