@TheMarkusrose from 1974 (into the info box I've copied all the infos from a mail by Joe Viglione); I have many recordings of the final Velvets without Lou Reed, I'll check if there's something interesting. :)
@COGENTCOG cool beans! no tape has ever emerged as far as I know from the first post-Lou incarnation of the band in 1971, when Sterling was still with them. I also love the tape from Boston in 1973 which I think that Joe made, featuring the Yule brothers with Don Silverman and George Kay. It would great to hear more from that era as well.
@rhinobucketkixass Haha, technically, it's Moe adding to Lou's song. Lou wrote this and after hours actually. This is a cool version, but Lou is pretty much the one who gave Moe the push.
Reminds me of when my best friend and I we younger we used to sit on a bench at the beach and sing this song to each other we were a proper double act ha... Now he is Married but I still sing it to him ha... great song!
this is AWESOME. I love LOU REED and JONATHAN. Everytime I hear J.R. sing I imagine him having a very very very very stuffed up nose. He always sounds like he needs to blow it...
was this from 1973 or 1974? Very interested in Squeeze era Velvets, hope you put up and out more stuff.
