  • Didn't anybody know that the implosion was happening on my mom & dad's wedding anniversary?

  • i loved the boardwalk. I loved the deli the prices. Good location. cheap prices. It was my favorite budget hotel. I miss the machine with the quarters that push the money to the edge too. Hate that its gone. Aria is nice...

  • I stayed at the Monte Carlo hotel and I always see the Boardwalk hotel right across my room and smile. So sad it was turned into City Center / Aria & Vrinda. It doesn't even have a city hall. :(

  • I actually worked there from 96-99. One of the best jobs I had when it came to happiness and stress-free. Any of my old buddies if you happen to watch this, I am Paul who worked mostly in the dice pit on swing shift. Always had fun there and never ever had that feeling that I did not feel like going to work. Some great memories and some of the best people worked there. It had a nice welcome atmosphere that the larger Casinos did not have. I know a lot of tourist will remember and miss it.

  • when was this imploded

  • @tandjcoffing May 9th, 2006

  • I stayed there in 2000.

  • I liked the Boardwalk. Yeah it was a older hotel/casino....but it was also the only place in Vegas that had a 24 hour buffet!

  • Freakin' awesome!

  • what a crying shame!

  • I used to like playing the slots with the clowns on it. that food was crappy!

  • i was there in march 06 and saw all that was left was a wall with the artwork of the clown and one track from the coaster

  • I remeber that implosion

  • Nice vid 5 stars

  • That was the first hotel I ever stayed at on a business trip. Fake rollercoaster, huge clown. Prince impersonator. What could you hate? Cant stop progress.... Just leave Slots Of Fun Alone!!!!!!!!

  • Holy S**T! Technology is an interesting thing. Bye-bye Boardwalk!

  • Next to be imploded should be the Imperial Palace, I hate that one and it looks so ugly at night.

  • me to

  • but it is chinese.

  • Heart breaking! We stayed there with our Daughter for her 21st Birthday trip. We fell in love with the place! Nice place in a good location. We'll miss it. Thanks for posting this though!

  • Just prior to the very-soon-to-go Stardust, the Boardwalk was the last casino-hotel in Vegas to have gone the way of the Desert Inn, El Rancho, Hacienda, Aladdin, Sands, Landmark, and Dunes.

  • the new one is the new frontier

  • Fuckin Sweet! Cant wait for the Stardust!

  • Damn...that was so sad to see. I remember seeing Purple Reign there many times...I hated to see this....Oh well...See you at the Monte Carlo!

  • haha, cant do, monte carlos burned up!
