Dont think the missiles would detonate if they fell on the ground.Think they have to be primed by a coded command from Barack Obama.Dont think Jac's car (which I think is a Chevy Citation or a AMC Gremlin) would survive running into an 18ner.I think the city they blow up looks like Dallas or maybe Austin.
Got my id name from this.Watched it so many times in 1986 i wore my tape to where it has tracking lines.Every time my friend gets behind a semi he says "fubarr 18ner feeb".I say "blow wheel". The guy that did the voice of radboy(Bill Kopp)did the voice for the WHAMMY on the game show PRESS YOUR LUCK.
1st: TY for posting ENTIRE clip! (wish I could take back a star from "that other poster") ...now...WOW! Flashbacks!! My best friend and I quoted this CONSTANTLY in 1985! We graduated high school that year, and unfortunately imitated Jac - Mac and RadBoy physically as well. We even looked a lot like them! I wonder if my friend and I are destined for Hell. *semi-related note: I was viewer #2,666....ultimatooooOOOOOOOOOoooOOOOOOoooo....... \m/
To call this cartoon insane and bizarre would be an EXTREME understatement. Yet, despite that, for some reason I like it. I assume the message of the cartoon is that it's a satire of 1980s teenage irresponsibility, the Cold War, and general evil and deviant behavior. I kinda find it funny that they're still idiots after getting killed and burning in Hell.
Based on your profile, I assume you are THE Wes Archer, creator of this cartoon, am I right? Well, sir, had I seen this cartoon when it was originally made (1985, when I was about 3 or 4 years old), I would have been scared shitless. I'm not saying this is a bad cartoon, but the abstract animation style and of course the flaming, dead bodies of Jac Mac and Rad Boy would easily be what the Internet calls "nightmare fuel" for little children.
Let's see... I was 20/21 years old when I animated it. You can see the pencil test from 1983 at my site, which also holds a much better copy of the color you see here. It was never meant for kids of course.
Does anyone else suspect that Beavis and Butthead borrowed heavily from these characters?

Gawd I miss the 80s. The Cold War ruled at our dorm.

Guess Uncle Sam trusted America's nuclear arsenal to a redneck truck driver that beats up his girlfriend.

I remember seeing this on Night Flight, in a section they had called "Atomic TV". Taped the whole 2 hours, and watched it over & over & over....
Loved this video best of all. Primo! And this is the best version I've found here on You Tube

To be fair, though, as an adult, I do find this cartoon humorous. Keep up the good work in the cartoon industry.
