The review was very impressive and helpful, a friend of mine advised me to it rather than an iPhone or Blackberry, but I DO have one question... I use Skype a LOT, and I read that some people have issues with it, nonetheless, Id like to know if when on contract, the use of Skype would "come off" my monthly "allowed" price?

I hated the touch buttons on the bottom on the wildfire they would allways screw up for me and were too sensitive, like i had no holding room to get a firm grip on that damn thing.

i have used the phone for a month now with no crashes

it may be some problematic app causing the crashes for some people

for those people wondering about the death grip it is true

but it IS a software issue & there is a fix available for it on XDA forums

(the fix requires root though)

the fix has also been implemented in custom roms

@Flatron565 the desire S has a MUCH better battery life than the desire HD & is a lot less heavy & costs less & will probably get more support as its newer

the only advantage of desire HD is a bigger screen

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the review. However, my HTC Desire S crashes a lot and when it does, it takes a while to recover rather it attempts to recover, crashes again and this cycle is repeated over and over. But you didn't mention this and from your video I can see the 'recovered from crash' notification at the top.

@davomrmac Thanks, but the icon with a circle and exclamation mark is an icon to represent 'crash' notification. I wish you could do comparison between the HTC Desire S and Nexus S.
