  • The image a got from this was me with all of my closest friends flying with angel wings above the clouds then we fly into a bright light and we land on feathery blades of vibrant green grass and walk along a river tunnelled by tall trees. We then make it to a large endless field surrounded by threes with tonnes of wildlife.

This is my heaven :3 xxxxx

  • This song can make any subject sound important. Seriously, try talking about how toilets work and you will sound more beautiful than any of the most eloquent lines of Shakespeare.

  • Someday I'll write like this... how many centuries do you think it'll take.? :-)

  • @AnastaceMusic It wont matter whether it takes you days, months, years or even decades, if you beleive you can too create music a beautiful as this then try and try and try again, i beleive in then end if you want something badly enough you will succeed :)

I made that mistake, someone so dear to me.. I will miss andd love you always..

  • This music reminds me of oceans... of waves on the rocks and giant storms and peaceful tides. It reminds me of being deep in the ocean, the one place where all can be quiet.

  • I like pickles....yup......thats about it....

  • The top comment tells how this video is with no prejudice, yet it's filled with people spouting poems and insults. Funny.

  • "Life is a fleeting moment. Why live life in moderation and control when it lasts so short a time. Love until you drown in happiness, laugh until the air you breath escapes you, cry until your tears are dry and live like the next second death will take your soul. Life is yours to live, and live it you must, not in the fear of what is to come next. That Next Place is waiting for you. It waits, in the hope that you will come fulfilled and ready, not in longing and regret".

  • @Voyageur314 Thanks man.

  • @Voyageur314 Very Inspiring words

  • @Voyageur314 I agree. Without burdening you with details, I almost died on Christmas Eve just gone following a severe allergic reaction after an accident. I has to be resuscitated, and I experienced that 'light-tunnel' thing people talk of. Due entirely to the amazing efforts of the wonderful staff at Bournemouth General Hospital in England I now get a second chance. These words and music say it all. Time to start living, find someone special, if I can. Thanks to family & friends.

  • This music makes me feel close to God

  • Is there no end to this man's genius?! Every piece he writes is so uniquely beautiful! When I want to feel more connected to the world, Thomas Newman's music is what I listen to.

  • @SHExxLIKESxxBARINAS

    Oh my bad...Dumbass.

  • I'm not ashamed to say that Thomas Newman's music is so beautiful that it will sometimes bring tears to my eyes. He has an uncanny ability to express so much emotion through his music, it's absolutely wonderful. I haven't even watched all the movies that he wrote music for, but his music alone makes me sit back and realize how wonderful life is.

  • thomas newman has made me a new man :)

  • Thomas Newman really makes me appreciate the gift of music that God has given us. Amen

  • That's feeling

  • My all time favorite movie and Mr Newman's score just gives me such a peaceful felling. In the twilight of my life, I have no regrets. Senior from Hawaii.

  • @dadaartful I was moved by what you wrote:-) I also loved this movie. One of the greatest romances in movie history. I also loved the romance in "The Notebook". Thomas Newman is my favorite composer. I can't get enough of his music. And the music in "Meet Joe Black" was pure magic:-) Best to you in Hawaii:-)

  • @cmf4321 I just went to my email a moment ago and saw your comment. And what a coincidence "The Notebook" is playing on the Oxygen Channel 558 right now. Thanks for your kind comments and the best to you too. Aloha.

  • that horn at 4:26 <3

  • Maybe, someday you will understand.

Understand, why i try to give you advice - so that you dont make the same mistakes i did.

Understand, why i pour out my heart in front of you - because its important to feel vulnerable to someone, sometimes.

Maybe you will understand someday, why i, hurt you sometimes - just to let you know, how it feels to give grace.

Maybe, someday, you will be a better person, than i ever was.

    Someday, when you're grown.

  • 05:48 what's the name of the song ? ... it's the most beautiful part ...

  • To my fellow listeners, I welcome you to this little slice of untouched Youtube. Here you can release feeling without prejudice, you can tell your stories without fear of being ridiculed, but most of all, you can come here and be yourself and, you can know that all who read your comment do so with open minds. So please, enjoy the music, and if you want to, leave a comment, but know that you are always welcome here. Like us, music does not judge your emotions, it evokes them to be released.

  • @RaifukuMaru Wow:-) And I say that in the nicest way possible:-)

  • @cmf4321 Thank you! And I truly mean it!

  • @RaifukuMaru Finally...someone who doesnt complain or make a joke thats been used 100000's of times, thankyou. You made me feel welcome :)

  • @flirtyghettokids It was my pleasure. I am just glad you share such divine taste in music.

  • @RaifukuMaru Beautifuly stated, well done. You know, for a while I thought I was one of just a few who thought this, but as I read your comment it almost brang me to tears, no joke. The only reason why I didn't break down is because I am too happy because of it. Yes, the world is full of hate, death, depression, anguish; it's a very cold place. Nevertheless, for every conflict that we as humans face, we will always have good to look forward to in this world such as this music!

  • @RaifukuMaru

    LOL FAGGOT

  • @buckdich1 It is a real shame people like yourself are allowed on Youtube

    Poor sad little Troll!

  • @RaifukuMaru Sorry, meant to like your comment, but my hands were shaking with anger, I clicked dislike Dx I agree!

  • @buckdich1 please just die, the world doesn't need immature idiots like yourself

  • @RaifukuMaru LOL YOU GAY HOMOSEX

  • @Skarloe How can you be gay and a homosexual, they're the same thing you moron. An idiot like you doesn't even deserve to be listening to this music, you're obviously too moronic to be listening to a masterpiece.

  • @RaifukuMaru excellently put.

  • @RaifukuMaru Hmmm... an oasis in a sphere usually ruled by sheer nonsense and outright outrageousness. A welcome change. May I recommend that everyone with a brain and a heart resolve this year to act in ways that tilt the balance to the good?

In the words of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson: The key to time management is this - to see the value of every moment.

  • @rr7firefly Wise words from a wise human being! I am happy to see that intelligence can be coaxed out of its shell by the notes that make up this beautiful music

  • Thomas Newman is the best, and this is one of his best pieces. I just played it through three times. If I could pick one composer artist to score my life, it would be Thomas Newman. He adds so much to every film he touches. He invokes beauty and emotion like no other composer. Why he doesn't have a closet full of awards is beyond me...just goes to show you...someday the Academy will look at his Hall of Fame body of work and honor him with a Lifetime Achievement.

  • The melodies and arrangmnt of this song r stunningly gorgeous!!! Newman is soo damn unbelievably talented. His ability to get his orchestras to take what he's created and perform the way they do blows me away. His music on this film, Shawshank Redemptn, Road To Perdition and othr films is amazing. I just cant say enuf about his melodies.

  • Truly one of the most profound pieces of 20th Century orchestral music. Marvelous.

  • Just listen and feel the tears in your eyes.. That's what I feel everytime I hear that song. It fits to every situation in life.. The good and the bad times :)

  • R.I.P Andy Whitfield, you will be missed. Spartacus was the best show ever!! I wish you a peaceful passage to the next place. =(

  • @Johncarson9113 Spartacus sucks, it completely skews real historic events. other than that RIP Andy.

  • @warsilver99

It's fiction... Do you hate on Inglorious Bastards or Back to the Future too? What about Winnie the Pooh, bears can't talk!

  • @Okayhmhm The fact that they call it "Spartacus" implies that they are trying to tell the story of "Spartacus", who was a real person, with a real tragic story, which is completely misrepresented by this retarded work of fiction.

  • Such beauty in all of your expressions....such beauty in life.....such horror.....such compassion and such merciless behavior...

Do you guys ever feel like you are witnesses? Like what we see feel hear taste touch and go through, we witness the majesty and surreal reality that is life. and what we have are words to try to express it.....sad....Like what Joe went through in the film is somewhat unbearable at times......he felt emotion he never felt.....emotion.....it is what links us all....

  • Music truly is like love, its unexplainable. The feeling it brings to the soul is a phenomena. What a great piece, I'm in love with it. I love 3:30 and up, it brings chills down my spine.

  • Very inspireing song as it is putting my mind & soul to ease after a long day's work.

  • if this was the last piece of music i would ever hear, id die a happy girl :)

  • Comment removed

  • This might be cliche, but knowing 9/11 is right around the corner, this song bring tears to my eyes. Those who died are in the "next place". R.I.P

  • awesome :)

Thomas Newman's melodies, arrangements and orchestrations!! Damn, how does this dude think up this gorgeous music. Luv his work here on MJB + on Shawshank Redemption, Road 2 Perdition, and othr films. My favorite film score composer by far!!!

  • why hasn't this man won an academy award yet?

  • godbless this world, all those who strive for peace and happiness, and pity those who live for evil and suffering.

  • This music just stirs my soul.

  • Thomas Newman is an amazing composer. His works elicit melancholy somber emotions but as humans we all feel them from time to time. Thomas Newman has a way of divining the human spirit.

"Well that's life, what can i tell you..."

  • Is anyone else bawling their eyes out listening to this? I don't know what has just happened, I am in bits! x

  • 4:10 <3!~ the whole song,,, B.E.U.T.I.F.U.L.L

  • @RGuiskate You spelt B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L wrong.

  • I absolutely love this movie and Newman's work! One of my favorite lines ever in a movie came when they were standing together at the end of the party and thanking and praising each other and Bill Parrish says, "Don't blow smoke up my ass-you'll ruin my autopsy." At the moment he said it I was in tears from the scene and then I nearly pissed myself laughing-----that was perfect!

  • Sometimes I look back on life and think, "Where did the time go?" but then I remember, "Idiot the time is now!"

  • Life is a fleeting moment. It waits, in the hope that you will come fulfilled and ready, not in longing and regret.

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 What beautiful words of inspiration! Did you write this yourself? If so, you have an incredible way with words.

  • @robfitzcrisp1992

I couldn't have expressed myself any better than this !!! Thanks so much for sharing, my friend !!!!

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 One of the best and most meaningful comments I've ever read on this site.

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 That's probably it. Don't sit down doing nothing. Explore the world, do fun stuff, go out, make friends, love, etc.

This is reminding me there's certain stuff I NEED to do in life. Skydiving, backcountry snowboarding, surfing, visit all continents. Have FUN.

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 What a simply amazing quote... Just became one of my favorites, goes straight into my "Life Quotes" document.

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 that´s very beautiful writing, if it´s yours I think there are a lot of people out there (me included) that would really enjoy reading a book written by you or listening to a song composed by you. You are young now and maybe have other things on your mind (yes I looked at your profile) but write these thoughts in a notebook and maybe one day in the future your work will be published. Saludos desde Venezuela.

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 That was beautiful man

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 Thank you for writing such beautiful thoughts......made all the more wonderful by listening to Thomas Newman's emotive theme as I read your contribution. Again, thank you.

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 thats what im fucking talking about i love you man....some heart moving shit right here....

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 Where does this quote from? citing the original author would be great...

  • @spikypirate I wrote it. Purely inspired by this incredibly moving and soul-stirring composition.

  • @robfitzcrisp1992 Wow, that's just incredible. It was so touching and I thought you found it from a movie or something. Thanks a lot for sharing with us :)

  • Goosebumps you guyz.

  • This song takes me to a place where I am happy, my mind is clear, and I'm free to be myself.
