i have the same problem. tried a different rom copy and am getting the same thing. if you press start to skip the intro. you just get the black screen. also using kfusion emulator. i have all of the bios files set properly. dont know what the issue is. i liked this game. its a shame that it doesnt work.
I was able to get this game work with Sega CD (U) - Model 1 v1.10 bios.

@Rockmirth Are you using Kfusion as your emulator? I had the same problem. If you are maybe I can help you fix it.
