@dunskie I saw this production 20 times in Germany between 1996 and 2005! It was great, very funny with great singers! It was the London West End Touring Production, directed by Christopher Malcolm! Frank was played by Bom Simon, Paul Pecorino, Jon Boydon and many others...

The minute the first lines were spoken I was excited 'cause I knew it was gonna be good from there on out, but I had NO IDEA it was going to blow my mind. ALL of the actors on that stage did an EXCELLENT job of making the characters their own. Most actors just mimic the people in the movie. This version is fresh and attention-gripping. I am truly impressed, because I am picky, and this really did it for me. The best I've seen. Plus, Frank N Furter got me hot, lol.

I've listened to the soundtrack to the 1973's cast recording and the songs there were totally rock., in some cases, a bit heavier than the movie. "Time Warp" sounded like a garage rock tune; proto-punk, really.
