  • I had a Corsair X128, based off the samsung chipset IIRC. I bought it under the guise that "it will last 100 years", and "it uses significantly less power and generates less heat". It died after 3-4 months. I had it RMA'd, and the RMA'd one died after 3-4 months. I later came across a test of power and heat and found SSDs actually generate more heat when writing than a conventional winchester-style hard drive. How many lies will Samsung sell?

  • awesome.....very robust and shock-proof. But one thing is sure.....those SSD are alike the RAM memory modules... they are susceptible to heat and chip crick. A spike in power or a constant use in compact overheated box...yeh....off the smoke and chip pregnancy. like RAM died in heat....so do SSD...

  • @ffayaz007 What?

  • you have a SSD but no a HDV camera!

  • why did the sunlight magically turn on at 0:37?

  • @Milkshakman A gap in the leaves!

  • @Milkshakman its because they didnt de-click the lens iris, so when it opens up to get more light it can only do so in discrete steps, not smoothly.

  • @ScepticMatt Ah, thanks for the info.

  • steven wanker hahaha

  • they should drop and SSD from the top of the Burj Dubai, the tallest building in the world!

  • it wouldnt work, it would just get sucked back to the building by the way airflows around tall structures and end up landing on some walkway on the 50th floor.

  • God i wish my external hdd was SSD... A friend of mine dropped it from 20cm and now it's dead... All my files lost...

  • Who throws their sensitive information of a building?

  • @Petchhyy your EX!! hahahahahahaha

  • You know what...I wouldn't even be surprised...

  • lol my ex thew out all my art work glad im not married to her was engaged for 7 months tho ahahhaha

  • the military to destroy data which could blow the world

  • Steve wanker? Sorry, i didn't hear your name right.

  • Guess this explains a little about the high prices lol...Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Hynix Semiconductor Inc. and Infineon Technologies AG have agreed to settle a class action lawsuit in which they have all pleaded guilty to charges of DRAM price fixing between 1999 and 2003 stemming from an investigation by the U.S. Justice Department.

  • what if it falls hitting the sata connections and they break, pretty sure it wont work then...

  • @leezaal unless you solder the leads.

  • HAHA, Steve Wanker

  • The MLC solid state drives do not last very long. There are only so many times that data can be written. The SLC will last about 10 times as long. Do not defragment on these drives!
