  • this is kind of a a "la-ti-da" rendention of nursing. It like the "Ideal scenario"of nursing if real life was a reflection of the Disney Channel. But I get it. It's a 'generalized' idea of nursing. LOL

Kind of comes off like, "Hi, the sky is blue and the sun has a big cheesy smile and everything is easy and happy go lucky and no worries cuz nursing is easy and you don't really have extremely sick people's lives in your hands. " LOL Its a really GOOD SELL of male bovine kaka (?sp)

  • The leader of her coven has spoken.

  • How many years did u go to college to become a nurse?

  • @eruiz151 2 years nursing school and 3 years general education.

  • Wu tang?

  • I maybe want to be a nurse, and this was really helpful =)

  • Hey, what kind of degree do you have? (:

  • ok..its jus dat i jus graduated from high school and i want to major in nursing but i am that "eewww" type of person..so i jus want someone to tell me so i could see if i can actually handle it..i hope that doesnt drive me away from becoming a nurse. do u think maybe ill get over it, with time??? do u jus see poop and stuff or do u actually hav to clean it?

  • @nbridazlover HI! I think everyone has those "eewwww" moments. Yes, we do have to clean it up. But the good outweighs the unpleasant situations. I think you just figure it's not the best part of the job, but it's something that needs to be done. I'm sure most everyone has parts of their job they don't like as much, right?

  • can u make a videp where u talk about the negative things about nursing and about stuff some people may consider nasty such as bathing patients and cleaning up nasty messes, etc..PLEASE!! i really want to know.

  • @nbridazlover I don't want to scare anyone or be negative towards nursing and patients. I try not to do that. =) Sometimes unpleasant things happen, but the good outweighs the bad.

  • what about cleanin poo givin baths and all the nasty stuff you have to do,....do you have to do all that stuff as well??

  • @ihaveaverybadcold Of course, but we don't want to talk about that stuff. Ha ha. =)

  • Im not surprised that you did not mention eating lunch in the video. As a nurse myself I know lunch is not promised when you work as a nurse. Thank you for the video.

  • @petluv214 Hi!! That's right, unfortunately. Maybe not a full half hour, but I always have to take at least 5 min to eat something. =)

  • i work in a long term care facility and I am a brand new nurse and just got off orientation... some days i feel like i want to cry with all the patients I have (20!!!)... today the doctor left me about 10 charts with page long orders that i needed to pick up... some days i feel like an incompetent idiot... was it like this for you in the beginning

  • @mmaraujo Hi. That is a big load for a new nurse. I think I would cry too.=) Somedays I just think to myself, I am only one person and I can only do one thing at a time, so things will get done when they get done. I give you a lot of credit, but it does sound like a lot for a new nurse. Just do your best, that's all we can do.=) Nursing is 24hr care.

  • @hdryver I wanted to update you on my situation... i just got fired from my job for a med error that they said was very serious and they couldnt trust me. I feel like crap now. I'm thinking I will never find another job again because of this.

  • @mmaraujo Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. I know it's kinda scary, but don't give up. There are probably many people who have made med errors. There may be someone out there who will give you a break because everyone makes mistakes. Keep looking.

  • @mmaraujo I had work as a LPN for 4 yrs recently fiished RN and got hired at a Med Surg floor...I advise you to protect your license If you feel you are overwhelmed u not only can make a med error you can also hamr a client...so next time you feel is too much for you..go to your charge nurse and let her know you are not comfortable and not experienced enought to handle such amount of clients...people will try to pass all the work to u. let them know you wont tolerate abuse againts you.

  • on a med surg floor I don't understand how a nurse can do all this with 5-6 patients!

  • @virtualetude - It is challenging at first, and some days are busier than others. Nurses have to learn time management, most people struggle with this at first.

  • lol nice intro=)

  • @2thcr8z -Thanks a lot.=)

  • Love your videos.

  • @iJohnell -Thank you so much. =)
