Okay, although I think even that is pushing it, maybe the best are EQUAL to the worst five teams. The Macabi Elite is always one of the best Euroleague teams and the got destroyed by the Knicks last year, one of the NBA's WORST, trust me I'm from NYC and remember when they play the NBA teams are even in worst shape. Most of the time the inter-league game is the first game of the season for the NBA team which almost always have new players in the lineup from last year!

CSKA then lost to the Sixers and that Macabbi win was the only time a euro team won in the US, and it was by a shot by Anthony Parker who is now on the Raptors. NBA teams win the majority of the time in Europe. This year NBA teams were 3-2 in Europe and European teams were 0-6 in North America and no good NBA team (a team that had least made the semi-finals) has lost to a Euro while the Euro champ lost two. btw in the game agaisnt Zalgiris the Raptors did not have Chris Bosh, their best player.

The reason why we can't have two full-time teams(I guess a student one doesn't count) is simple - poor basketball school policies. Take the big ones. And now we have perhaps the best PG in the World - Jasikevicius - and we have to substitute him with shooting guards or even small forwards...

not a professional league, but a network of basketball schools... a lot of players either remain in the NKL (second league) or leave the country, but interestingly enough there are very few examples of players who are in the national team but haven't played in the LKL - Songaila and Kleiza being the ones... our league isn't strong, but works on some good promotions - if you manage to shine in a weaker team, one of the leading ones might pick you up and getting into the NT candidate list is easy.

Yes usa is much stronger. In fiba world ranking it is 1st, but when lithuania plays any mach all lithuania waching that game. Streets gets clear. And next day evryone talks about that mach. If we win evryone gets crazy. We love this game so that why we are strong. remember the game in olympics when lithuania won versus usa. All lithuania was proud of that victory, every one talked about. Our fans are best. But anyway usa have stronger team and better players.
