Great vids , very addictive . I believe on most submarine operations . The target vessels are sunk ASAP ,so they don't get a radio/morse mayday out . Also standard opetational procedure to track down survivors for execution in water , as to not compromise boats security . @annoyingcola It wasn't the men being in battlestation. It was the fact that there was no one awake because they had been in battlestations for few days in a row. So no one was on guard and reporting the contact of a bomber incoming. In normal situation the crew takes shifts in sleeping and resting but in battlestations mode they are all on duty until they fell asleep.

I know that is kind of late, but the control options you can see by pressing F1.

The speed control is by default "+" to increase time compression, and "-" do decrease.

@Tehnexie I'm in the same boat, no pun intended. SH5 looks amazing and being able to run around on your ship sounds really cool but I keep hearing horror stories about how buggy it is, there's also the Ubisoft constant online DRM thing that I'd rather not support. :\

Personally, and its probably a gross waste, but I take on a whole roster of men who do nothing but sit in their bunks waiting until damage control is needed, that way I have a whole team of super repairmen to patch holes and wrap duct tape.

Also, 9 / 10 knots is about most fuel efficient... just damn slow.

jef the number before the gun at 9:35 means its length of the barrel in feet. i think in navy terminology the first number is the caliber(length in feet of the barrel) then the bore diameter of the gun in question.
