depends on what is going on if theres a BIG fight in the middle of a BIG town ye it laggs but its still playable but if your in a forrest or a smalll village NO lagg at all and theres NO lagg on multyplayer eather

and suprising to me it ran GREAT on the ice lvls like 30-45 FPS all the time it was so cool!

i have the same graphics card it'll play crysis on high but frame rates are all over the palce with a single core processor it can't handle the draw distances so as long as you have dual core the 9600gt is an awsome card

my spec is very similar, i have 2gig of Corsair ram, Athlon 4600+, POT 9600GT, nforce560 Motherboard and i can play Crysis all on high at 1280x1024 on XP that is.

I'm planning to get the BFG soon, just don't know if the 8800 GT or the 9600 GT. Don't wanna see later that the 9600 hasn't got enough umpf, but then again I don't want a heat problem either with the 8800 GT, what to do ?

The is not a big difference in performance between the 9600GT and the 8800GT. I would go for the 9600GT. However, the 8800GTX is much faster than the 9600GT so it all depends on your budget.

it was about 25-30 on thsi MAP this is a hard map to run i normaly get about 35-40

this was with 4xAA adn 8xAF FORCED on the card i turned that off and downloaded the new drivers i now get 40-50 FPS on HI 1280x1024

this card PWNS Crysis also i bet if you turned Shadows on MED it would run about 5-10 FPS better and not look much diffrent =D

it has twice the streem prosescers and the Core Clock is a few mhz slower but the 8800gt is a "little" better i would have gotten it but here its almost $100 more :/

id the way things are going i think they will be cheeper the 8800 Ultra used to be $1,000+ but now you cna buy the ATI 3870 X2 thats quite abit faster than the 8800 Ultra for $445 or less =D and the 9600 is almost as good as the GT and its $100 cheeper =D
