  • Nice toshmaal. Thanks to you farzand-e zard kooh for uploading.

  • They`re hats remember me the medes. As shirinmikhai said, if these peoples lived in the mountaines they maintained for sure they`re identity. This is not the single part of the world were ethnics survived in the mountaines, i give you example in Europe the vlachs...living a shepperd life, the mountaines from balcans been they`re shelter against the impact of migrations (slavs, goths, turkycs)

  • Kurds and Lors split at the battle of Chaldiran almost 500 years ago. Lors decided to join with their Shia/Alavi/Aryan brothern in Safavi dynasty. For some unknown reason Kurds decided to join Turkish/Arab Sunnis. This is where the Kurds and Lors split. Never forget Chaldiran! Never forget Qadiyisiah! Mo lore!

  • You're wrong - if that was the case then there would be many more visible similarities between Kurds and Lors, the dress is not the same. What you are referring to is Sunni and Shia Kurds (have same dress). I am Shia Kurd from Kermanshah our language is very similar to Sorani. The split happened between Southern Kurds and Northern Kurds,Southern Kurds became Shia during Safavi period. Lors were not involved Chaldiran was much further North than Lorestan.

  • Go read history...Lors and Shia Kurds made up large contingents of the Qizilbash...Sunni Kurds in Iran suddenly found themselves living in Shia Iran and they can't stand that fact.

  • Well when you're speaking militarily then the Sunni Kurds also split from the Azeri qizilbash as well as other Kurds and Lors. I believe Chaldiran was before the mass (forced) conversion to shiism in Iran wasn't it? But as a people Lors and Kurds have not been the same for thousands of years. The difference between Lor and Kurd is like the difference between Persian and Lor.

  • Yes, Chaldiran was before the mass conversions to Shia in Iran. But, the Zagros, Azerbaijan, Daylam, Mazandaran were already Shia (Yarsan) before Chaldiran. The Qizilbash came from these areas.

  • As fars as Lors and Kurds, I agree with you. I don't believe Kurds and Lors developed as ethnic groups until after the coming of Islam. Also, I think Kurds are not one ethnic groups, but at least 3 different ethnic groups: Kurmanj, Zaza and Soran. The only that unites them is opposition to outsiders. If this opposition is ever removed, these three groups will began to assert their respective identities. This is already happening with the Zaza.

  • There are more: also Fayli Kurds (Iraqi Shia and Iranian Ilam Shia), Kermanshah Kurds (Shia), Hawramani (Sunni).

  • I have to disagree with you, as far as the Bakhtiari tribe, I assure you they have been considered an ethnic group for many years prior to the comming of Islam. If you want the true word of a Bakhtiari make him swear to fire not the Quran. I don't know if that is a fact for Kurds since they are a very different ethnic group, separate from Bakhtiaris.

  • Very nice music! Thx for uploading

  • i miss home and by the way this aint kurdish this is bakhtiari a total different thing

  • dastet dard nakoneh. kheili haz kardim. Nassir (Toronto, Canada)

  • This is my favorite!

    Merci aziz =]

  • Very nice. Sound like Kurdish.

  • Yes. Because persians and kurds among the most closely related cultures and languages. Persian today is influenced significantly by arabic. Kurdish has seen less influence from the arabic language. Once could say Kurdish today is more persian than tha persian spokedn today.

  • سپاس و تشکر. درود بر شما. درود بر مردم بزگ آریایی. ما همه برادریم

  • I share your sentiment.

Sepas va drood bar shoma baradare geramiam.

  • Dear KurdeIran, the bakhtiari tribe has seen as much arabic influence as the Kurds have, maybe even less, specially since almost all of the Bakhtiari tribe were living on the mountains at the time and there was rarely any access to them. If you want a Bakhtiari's true word make them swear to Fire not the Quran.

  • I agree Shirinimikhai. Kurds are also primarily from mountanous regions and somewhat isolated and inaccessible. I can tell you that when I was growing up in Iran I would mistake Bakhtiari songs, dance, clothing with Kurdish sometimes. I have no doubt that two tribes must have been very close culturally at the time of median and persian impires. Spas!

  • My family is from Moradoon, Bakhtiar. Yea we are purest for sure. LOL Luro sailikon guregow be hamoon noftisi. Mo hamoon rakhtaye luri mineh filme idarom.

  • pure iranians, hospitable and kind, and they know shahnameh when they are born. God bless their pure souls, and pure blood, and god bless the mothers who bring this people to the world.

  • bakhtiari is the definiton of pure iranian. go to chahar mahall, lorestan and you'll see what real iran is all about : friendly, hospitable and kind people.

    dorood be hamei bakhtiari.
