It might appear that way but Pornwan was taking huge shots after another cleanly. Sometimes as a ref you have to protect the fighter from himself. There's no doubt Pornwan could have kept going, but he could have suffered some serious imjuries if he would have kept eating shots like that.

@julijaccounts At this weight serious injury or death is a lot more common. The ref stopped it at the right moment imo.  Lighter fighters have less liquid in the skull to protect the brain from bouncing around when they get pummeled like that. Its an easy way to get brain damage or die after the fight.

@julijaccounts Agree with the above response. Pornsawan was taking some hellacious shots at the very end. Better for a stoppage to be too soon than too late. That last right on the ropes was absolutely brutal. Reminded me a bit of the right Trinidad landed on Vargas at the end of their fight.

This was some hell of a fight. One of the best fights I've seen in some time.
