i have a great deal of respect for dale earnhardt but this is pretty fucked up. they penalized bobby hamilton in this race for spinning the same car twice but dale spun rusty wallace,lake speed,and terry labonte and didnt get a penalty

Actually, Earnhardt was forced to the back of the field after wrecking Rusty. But nothing like the 5 laps Hamilton was.

Actually, he was penalized for spinning Rusty Wallace (I believe he was penalized a lap), and Terry Labonte, one could say was last lap racing.

Also, if you watch the video, Speed was checking up to avoid tagging the car ahead of him, so the wreck was not Dale's fault at all, just a racing accident.

Actually, Lake was on the lead lap racing with Earnhardt for position. He had a pretty good car that night too... about the only time that Earnhardt really ticked me off.

Earnhardt did hit Derrike Cope on a restart and it messed up the front of his car.

I've seen this race on ESPN Classic, too. Earnhardt hit many people that night.
